Its a bad idea. Story telling is a delicate process, many games are not working because the focus isnt right, too much porn, too little character and story development, the best ones have a pretty slow approach before the real erotic scenes settle in.

It's because people haven't cancelled their pledge yet and as it seems this is just a number of how much support he still has, not how much money he actually gets per month since he actually pauses the pledge each month.
