Because I reported his post and told F95's mods to add it on OP? You don't believe me, then go and ask a mod to show you my report message.

Really not sure what your problem is, but you seem to be an annoying prick who likes to play the "victim card" with your passive-aggressive bullshit. Therefore, cut the crap and stay on topic or I will ask a mod to remove your little drama messages for being off-topic.

Did I mention anywhere that his post was a bad thing. No.
It's nice to know I'm taking up free rent space in his head, but he needs to stop being an obsesso. It's not healthy and it's really starting to look "stalker creepy".

There is one issue that I'm seeing in the player log you provided. I believe it's the path to the game that's the issue (read/write permissions).

Try moving the game's "Mystwood Manor" folder into root (C:\ so that it's C:\Mystwood Manor v0.4.2.8). Please let me know if that works and if not, there is one more thing you can try.

I really appreciate the help, but Unfortunately that did not work... I even tried to give full access to the directory.
I am hoping this one last thing you have would solve this issue for me :(

Ok, thanks for letting me know. Can you go into Control Panel >> Device Manager and show me a screenshot of the device(s) you have in Display Adapters, please?

There's only one device shown there. Trust me, I have followed every solution you guys provided, including the FAQ.
It really is a weird issue, and have never faced it with any other games, including MOTH.

For Anikka: did you check on her in the morning or afternoon when she is resting, and do you have the pool renovated?
For Amber: did you assign her to housekeeping in the morning or afternoon and check on her?
yep, managed to complete the update. probably I kept visiting amber during evenings, and was wrong with annika's path.
thank you so much for your help!

I checked both your files (player + dxiag report) and there is nothing that indicates a problem. I also saw your chat with Sycho on Discord.

However, the black screen is often or mostly related to missing - or wrongly installed - Visual C++ 2015 x86 libraries. And I really mean x86 and not x64 (doesn't matter if your system use a 64-bit (x64) architecture or not). Due to the game client being a 32-bit application. That would be the normal case. Yours however, might be atypical and not related to VC at all. And maybe related to your old GPU.

To debug the issue I would like you to download Timestamps (https://f95zone.to/threads/timestamps-lost-love-r4-pe-motkeyz.45268/).

Both games are Unity based and use the webp format for their images. Since Unity doesn't support webp format natively Visual C++ 2015 libraries are required to play the game.

By downloading Timestamps we actually can test if the problem is Visual C++ 2015 related or not.

Here is what you should do:

Really liking this game, but it also has some tedious aspects to it. One in particular that takes away from the enjoyment of the game, that I think can have a very easy to implement solution.

The tedious aspect is in the hint system of what to do next. The problem with it is that it requires you to constantly check each separate characters menu over and over again to see how to progress and also requires you to memorize them since you can almost never do them right then and there. The result is that if you want to make progress, you basically need to go into every characters menu each day or multiple times a day to recheck what you need to do. This really slows down the pace of the game and is just unpleasant.

A very simple and effective solution would be a list/menu (maybe a hotel To-Do list for the MC to go with the flavor of the game) that summarizes everything in one location. At the very least it can have what to do next with each character. But if you wanted to go even further, it can have current skill levels as well.

Having all this information at a glance without having to surf through all of the menus constantly would be really handy and cut down on the most tedious part of the game.
Agree with you.
It would be a plus when such to-do-list is implemented.
For now I simply use the old fashioned pen and paper method of writing down what the MC has to do.
"Riley: Check @ sauna in morning"
"Anikka: Check @ resting in evening"

If it's stupid but it works, it's not stupid.
Not complaining though.:giggle:

I'm not agree with you guys. So basically you want game tell you what to do next. This is not visual novel where you just click, click, click. This is actual game and I like that. I play this without hints, because I enjoy play the game and found things without hand holding.
Which still could be done. I don't think anybody wants a popup every time something is about to happen, making the whole game a single tutorial (apart from the hotel managing stuff). It would not be more information handed to the player, it would be rearranging the information he may want and can already get more conveniently.

I have full respect for the way you play the game. Even with the proposed to-do-list you should be able to keep doing it that way.
I guess I just do not have that much patience for it. Maybe I try it after next update.

The game is a 32bit one not 64, you need to install Visual C++ Runtime like you can read from instruction in OP.
Also here in attach the latest FAQ that Sycho has written, check if you have installed one of the program mentioned at the 4th question, otherwise please post the Player.log found in this path and post it here (post the file and not its content)
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Faerin Games\Mystwood Manor
Excuse my rude behavior for not immediately getting back at and thanking you for the explanation.

I did try to install the C++ as given in this thread. The problem is that when I tried to install the new files (both 64 and 86 versions from Microsoft-page), each one of them gave me a message saying that I already got an older copy of Visual C++ and need to uninstall it first before I can install the new version.

No disrespect, Mate, but I am not a computer-savvy and I really am afraid to tamper with system-files. I mean, what if I could fix a problem at the cost of creating another one, or ones?

So, my best odd is just to wait for someone very kind enough to adjust the game so that it can run on 64-bit with no prob.

Anyhow, thanks for your patience and suggestion, pal. Greatly appreciate it.

Can you attach your player log, please? That may give insight as to what is causing the problem. Also, if you haven't checked already, take a look at your event log (Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Event Viewer). Check under "Windows Logs" >> "Application" and look for any error messages related to "Mystwood Manor".

Alternatively, since you're on Windows 7, check your Windows Update history and see if you have the (KB2670838) installed.

The problem is that even if it is a game bug (which I don't believe because it starts correctly on most of the PC), until a player who faces this problem doesn't help us to track it down, it will be really hard to find and fix it.
Probably there is some software conflict somewhere or maybe it's your hardware that isn't compatible with the game, but until you can't give us a little more information, we can't help you any further...

This is easily the best game on this forum. It is not necessarily a PORN game (so far) but it is a game that you learn to get better as you play it. It is not something that you can just finish in an hour or two. This is like a real game on a console! And it has BEAUTIFUL women in it!!

I am so very sorry, mate. I guess in my utter desperation, I already deleted the game to make space for another. To follow your instruction will mean I need to download, install and play the game from the start again.

I don't mind though, since this is a very, very good game (come to think of it, I think the Dev has created more of art-story with very interesting adult elements rather than made a regular porn-game with some story in it).

But I just have little hope with this game at this moment. That's because (and to quote S3pHiroTh), it most likely is my hardware since I'm running on very old laptop and unofficial Windows.

That said, it never means I would ever, in any way, belittle your sincere help and guidance in this matter.

Always be thankful to you and S3pHiroTh as well.
