People who like NTR are usually OK with 'vanilla' games that don't have it.
But people who don't like NTR really hate it. So, having it in game at all (even when avoidable) is a good way to lose a decent sized chunk of followers.
MotH did well for Faerin and it's fetishes were very vanilla.
I'd expect him to keep to that safe 'recipe', and not risking losing followers by putting in stuff that's going to upset the 'norms'.

I don't think that alone covers it, after all, those on the NTR side will arguably prefer a game which includes it - they may download a vanilla game here but are less likely to support it. But like with other kinks - everything can throw people off and lure them in, and it is not always about having the most customers but delivering a good product. Not every soda produced is cola because it is the most popular.
Similarily I doubt that a random dev inserting or omitting a kink "because of the customer" will do the game a service - if the dev is not in it, it will be a paint-by-numbers picture at best but possibly become a total mess. If you don't know what triggers the vibes of somebody clamoring for NTR (gay, footjob) you can do the motions but it won't be the same. And people asking for something in the first place tend to have a more specific idea of what they want, so are even less likely to be satisfied by "anything in the region" - they've already shown they won't take a game for "what it is" and enjoy.
But yeah, this discussion is kinda academic, since it is not what Faerin's gonna do as he stated in the past (there'll be "only one dick" for the girls IIRC, so no NTR, sharing, prostitution, whatever else can be filed here).
As an aside: there are (a small minority, but vocal and thus noticeable) NTR fans who are even more into it than your average NTR hater, who will argue that a game "objectively" must have NTR, that NTR lovers are "objectively" more mature and so on.

Sounds to me like some folks need to look up the meaning of 'objectively' and then look up the meaning of 'subjectively'.
Ummm... afaik when most people use the phrase 'I'm OK with that' it tends to indicate that they don't object to it, but aren't overly enthused by it either.
I think the person I quoted in my last post fits that description well enough, so lets look at it again...

By taking the literal meaning of NTR as a definition (Netori + Netorare), since no one is in a stable relationship in this game, i see zero leeway for NTR. Unless one of the guests is married
Other men could be sexual active, but only one of the male guests looks attractive in my eyes. I would have no problem with that. Assuming it's tied into a good story, I'm actually up for NTR, sharing, swinging, and so on. So, for me, other men and women are welcome to be sexually active in a game. But I'm sure I'm almost alone. The forum generally likes to go stormy when a different penis appears than that of the MC.
Kay on the other hand has already been actively interested in several women. So there will be sharing. That's the way it is: women are tolerated, men are not. I would wish it differently. But the forum is not that far yet
As far as I know, the game is not planned that way (with the exception of Kay). And most fans will also be strictly against it. They will not accept anything other than their harem. So, I doubt your wish will be fulfilled.

I agree with a lot of what you said, however I'll pick on the "The forum is not that far yet". If we were talking about real life acceptance, I'd be on board, there would be no way to accept one but not the other without being hypocritical. However, this isn't real life, it is wish fulfillment, and here I will accept a lot of things I wouldn't in real life, because it will satisfy my kinks. Yes, that may make my character a hypocritical asshole, but I've done worse in games, I killed innocent people by the millions without anybody thinking I'd behave or think the same way as a person.
