Try to unzip the game in another folder inside C:\, probably you have wrong file permission problem as mentioned before.Game is placed same place as the older version (different folders, naturally) - didn't help.
Also, what is really weird, is that now I also can't make a save in the old versionAnd I have literally made no changes to/in that game since I played it last, where it worked fine?!
Solved it by deleting the saves (incl auto) - then I could save again. Also able to write over these new saves later
Did you archive or compress the directory the game is in? That can set files to read-only, which would explain the difference.
If you don't want to deal with those, then play story mode.
I have checked your save and also after I have switch back some variables and trigger again Forest Queen event, Annika seems to not showing correctly. I have asked to Faerin to check the save if there is any issues with it, but please answer to Sycho's question, have you used a cheat mod now or in the past?
Check your Settings to see if you have "Play videos" selected. If so, increase the speed to max.
The only saves are in the profile folder of the game. If you deleted the game folder without backing up that folder, you are out of luck. You will need to start over or get the save from the link in the OP.
Hmmm. Yeah "Play Videos" is selected but the loop still persist. When I deselected Play Videos the loop is gone

No need to reply to him. The post was made by a bot/spammer. His/it accounts get deleted daily by mods and staff members. You can spot the bot by it's signature which is always the same.
