First game was the same, it was part of the plot..Get rid of Bio-dad. Make a proper Ipatch. I don't understand, when the Dev had a great first game, he would nuke the story so thoroughly. Does he not understand what people actually want in an incest game?

I really don't understand it. What is the problem with the stepfather vs biological father?
Or basically, what is the attraction (for you) of incest? Is it simply the blood relationship. Or is there more to it than that?
Let's say an MC has daughters he knows nothing about. When he finds out about the daughters, they are already adults. Would it be incest if he now has sex with them? Would it also be incest if he knows nothing about the relationship?
Of course, legally it would be incest. But would it also deserve the incest tag?
For me, the appeal of incest is the power differential. It lies in the breaking of taboos, in doing something forbidden. In the feeling of exploiting or using a person for whom one actually bears responsibility.
All this is more true for a stepfather who has raised the daughters than for a biological father who has never met his daughters before.
And last but not least: Please, stop criticizing the dev for the story he wants to tell. Especially if you haven't even finished listening to the story yet. If you think you could tell the story better - you are free to make your own game that exactly fits your preferences.

yay, more stupid stepcest (that I don't know why devs mess with, that also gets banned on Patreon just same as actual incest if that was the reason). Still waiting for someone to make a patch and fix that.

Power differential has almost nothing to do with that... power differential is something every relationship ever has.
People aren't equal and never will be...
Exploitation isn't it either... that happens mostly in cases of child exploitation and pedophilia...
Taboo isn't a factor either... homosexuality was considered a taboo not long ago... nowadays nobody cares.

The reason why stepcest is mostly looked down on is because it serves no purpose.
Stepcest is a bannable offense by the Patreon Terms of Service, there is no need for it at all.
People ask for incest patches for a reason. Nobody asks for a stepcest patch.
Those incest patches are also almost always provided by the dev themself, so they are part of the canon story.
For most people I'd argue that blood relation is a very important factor.

Has it changed much because usually when "feedback" causes devs to make major changes i've not liked it very much so if it's much different to how it was i'll chalk this up to a loss and move on.

No major changes. Just some context to frame what was already there in a more fitting light. I didn't do a good job of it the first time around, so I added several "thoughts" throughout the chapter to give the reader the MC's frame of mind as it pertains to the different situations they find themselves in. Well that sux. Glad I was waiting for it to be finished first and didn't waste time starting it, now I can just ignore it. Hell after that might as well add NTR and have the bio dad fuck them.
Just make incest an option in the settings and have it set to stepcest by default so the player has to manually change it or a patch. A few other games have done the setting route and are still on patreon.

Other games that survive without any fear have the default set as 'family friend' and 'neighbour' and 'roommate' etc. Patreon make no distinction between incest and stepcest at all. They are the same thing. I liked the previous game and the previous chapter, had the chapter 2 already downloaded but didn't have time to pick it up yet but hold on now the girls aren't mc daughters?
I started this game because of incest not because of stepcest. Honestly if it's true it's a huge let down, so if anyone confirm who is and isn't mc daughter would appreciate it, since now I dunno if I just delete the game or keep it.
