I know this is a fairly complex game for such a thing, but does anyone have any recommended one-handed controls?
Hilariously I do this. Because I broke my arm so I only have real use of my left hand. So if you actually want one handed controls here you go:

Attack: L1; Dodge: L2; Jump: L3; Magic: Dpad Left: Block: Select; Potion Switch: R1; Heal: R2; Confirm: Y.

Using the right side can feel awkward and trying to activate a specific magic is tough but it works well. This is assuming xbone cont btw

I actually use keyboard mainly, but I did just try it out and it worked surprisingly well. I hardly use magic anyway, so I mapped heal to the d-pad.

Btw, how do you grab final weapon, Karasuageha or whatever it is called, under the elvetor to Top of the Cathedral? It looks like you are supposed to grab onto the platform under it, but I can't seem to grab onto that ledge for the life of me.
There is an invisible platform on the left to jump on first.

Ultimately, the almighty dollar sign dictates these kinds of things, and I'd imagine for D-lis that this isn't his full time job given it's taken years of trickle updates (not to mention he's a parent, so where he even gets the time to program I don't know).

Problem is, in order to grow, he'd have to give up a stable day job (less likely with a family), and even if money isn't an issue, being legitimised as a game developer would expose him to a world of legal hurdles, especially games with H-content. Furthermore, he'd need to somehow conjure up the funds to hire other developers and staff, most likely from investors (Patreon funds are probably like a drop in a lake compared to the funding PC/PS/Xbox/Switch game devs get), who'll often dictate timelines. Then there's marketing, debugging, play-testing, and then there's the issue of release platforms and meeting local government requirements etc...

Staying indie would probably have a better ROI for him.

By now, you probably have a headache reading that (I have a headache typing all that out!). D-lis already went through a heck of a time to push this title out, and given that there a lot of blocked out areas in the game and minimal new H-scenes since his last update, he probably had to scale back his intended scope of works and cut a lot of content. IIRC believe he was pushing 6 years of development and by this time he was probably haemorrhaging time and money for NoR.

It seems he's just going to focus on bug-fixing and stability from now on. I'd love additional content but I'd imagine he's already over it (or starting plans for a new title...)
While I can understand someone not wanting to take a chance with going all in on game development, I don't think if he were to pursue that, it would mean he would have to take on new legal hurdles he isn't already currently faced with. There isn't like a card you turn in to the government where you say, "I'm a 'real' game developer now," which leads to increased red tape. The only thing that changes is how much time you invest into it, and how much profit you need in return for doing so. As for funds though, well, as I alluded to, I think people would be willing to contribute more money to see the game's content increase, particularly its H content. There's all sorts of H scenes that would have made a lot of sense that didn't make it into the release of the game. As you yourself say, there is signs of content that was cut even. Maybe there would be fans who would be willing to take up some of the load too out of mutual passion for the game. But, yeah, managing something like that would require a lot of time and constant social engagement. You can't realistically make things like that happen with only putting a few hours here and there into it over many months.

Alas, I was just going over potential ways the game could be expanded on. I mean, it could even be something as straight forward as another developer being willing to add to the game with the original developer's permission with some sort of cut via an agreement. It's not impossible for things like this to happen, but, there would need to be interest in doing so. The real issue is more so that the developer seems like he's bored with this game, despite, as a player base, I think it's not at all unreasonable to state that the game feels very incomplete, as if so much of its potential hasn't been fleshed out. If someone would have told me the game is at 50% complete today, without me having any knowledge of the development, I'd probably say, "Yeah, I can see that. Very excited for the other half." Which, you know, I just think is a bit unfortunate. But, it's very common with indie games. I doubt most of us can say that we can't relate with that feeling. It's what I was saying though originally, that it's understandable for people to play a game like this, and walk away thinking, "nygm, that was good, but it left me just wanting so much more." It's not just a rational response, but a common one in the world of indie H-games.

Without the developer being into things, you really just have the fan-mod route. Which, I guess, could blow up. But, it's rare for a game like this to have so much support from modders and the like, that an expansion's worth of content is generated from it. At most, a modder may be like, "Oh, I'd really love this scene to happen." Or even, "I think if this scene was changed in this way..." Like, just sort of isolated passion driven additions. And, even that is a maybe. People with that level of skill often are focused on their own projects. I mention it here though because I do think this game has a lot of polish in certain aspects of it, and so, it might draw more attention. I have an eye out for things like that, but, ultimately, I don't have my hopes high in the sky over it either.

Are there any plans to adjust/give options to adjust the mechanic where enemies can grab Aradia if she's too close? Dashing through a mob and getting grabbed doesn't really feel right, if I walk into a mob yeah then it's deserved but sometimes I'm dashing through an attack and the mob gets a free grab which is a bit strange. I know attacking is supposed to help, but sometimes you don't get a real opening vs a bunch of mobs, so you dash to make one and bam, grabbed mid-dash.

EDIT: So as I'm testing this new dev build, I went to fight the butcher in the hidden wall in Area 4. As above, he rolled at me so I immediately dodged to get a few hits in, instead, he got a grab off, and since his grab is gore, my Aradia was killed within ~15s, which isn't enough time for an RNG mod, maybe chances should be upped for mobs with quick kills? A suggestion I have is: Maybe mobs can't grab when they're performing another action? so if a mob is swinging a weapon, it can't suddenly switch to a grapple.

EDIT 2: Wolf boss unblockable charge led into an insta-grab mid-dodge (even got the Avoided! text popup, so my timing was fine)

With BepInEx, AutoTranslator with the status menu text fixed and all diaries translated, helper plugin pack v1.0.0.1 from kumarin (uncensor + cheats) and Kek1245 map . I uploaded this because all problems with peoples trying working with ReiPatcher. Only need change the keys because i use the arrows for move.

I downloaded the game from here, it works great, but I can't seem to speed up/skip animation parts with mouse wheel in gallery. Any fix for it?

umm.. is there any way to bypass prayer maiden and the samurai boss on rance? samurai boss doesnt drop anything or any event afterward and prayer maiden just make me stuck at the boss room after defeating her... also, how to go to final boss tho? theres a mysterious barrier on it

There are a few problems with this mod.
1) The spider held my character and she was still unable to break free after 5 minutes.
2) In many encounters, my character did not gain horny level from penetration
3) Sliding behind the enemies is a guarantee grab
4) The guy with a girl chain to her, since he had no animation my character just lie there
5) For the gun guy and a few others, grabbing is a straight game over

Is there anyway to disappear the background from gallery like this?
I want to take animation gallery like the past demo version but the background is an obstacle.

Here's the full story as I understand it:

Long ago, there was a demon uprising and the witches and church banded together to defeat the demons. Most notably, the witch of thorns became a legendary figure thanks to her contributions. Things seemed well for a time but there was a famine and the church blamed the witches and their rituals for it. The church began hunting down witches and executing them.

Aradia is a young witch who lived with her father and sister in a village protected by a magical barrier. But the church destroyed the barrier and attacked the village. Aradia's father, now too old to fight properly, attempts to hold them off and tells Aradia's sister to hide her. Aradia's sister finds Aradia a hiding spot and gives her a dagger before rejoining her father to help him fend off the invaders. The invaders kill Aradia's family while she watches in horror. She is also discovered and assaulted/raped.

Eventually, Vendetta finds Aradia and raises her and trains her in combat. At the start of the game, Aradia goes to a bandit hideout to test her skills as well as rescue the women held prisoner there. Realizing that she is now ready, Aradia returns to Vendetta and reaffirms her desire for revenge against the church. The church Vendetta is in is hidden now and Aradia pleads with Vendetta to go into hiding but she refuses, though offers to help you out on your journey.

Aradia sets off on her journey and encounters Suzune, who is a foreigner in search of her brother, who killed her father and clanmates. Suzune is eventually captured by her brother and slavers and becomes a sex slave before being rescued by Aradia. Suzune's journey is, in theory, one of the things that affects Aradia's choice at the end (I'll explain later) but the crux of it is, the pair realize Suzune's quest for revenge only led to her suffering. She departs and has a hopefully happy ending.

Aradia continues on her journey and (going slightly back before Suzune's finale), enters the white cathedral, where another demon uprising has occured. She befriends several survivors (though these survivors all have horrible endings in future diaries) but encounters Candore, who has been sent on behalf of the church to quash the demon uprising. Aradia defeats Candore but spares her life, though she is eventually captured and raped by other survivors due to her defeat.

Finally, Aradia enters the church and sees that the witch of thorns has returned and she has killed the church leaders including the pope. The witch of thorns reveals herself to be the true Aradia and explains to you that you are a clone made by Vendetta. She proves this by revealing that she has the dagger that her sister gave her.

The true Aradia offers for you to join her in revenge. If you choose to join her, you get the "bad ending," where both Aradias continue their slaughter of church members, leaving a mountain of corpses in their wake.

If you choose not to join her, you two fight it out and if you win, Vendetta shows up and you have another choice. (Tbh I only picked one of the endings I don't know what happens if you pick the other option). In this true ending, your Aradia reflects on her journey up til now and realizes that the cycle of revenge will always continue as long as you harbor such a deep hatred in your heart. Had you not seen the consequences of revenge for yourself, such as Suzune's story, you might very well have turned out like the true Aradia. So you kill the true Aradia and commit suicide, thereby ending the cycle of revenge.

Revenge is a major theme throughout this game. There is a theory someone posted earlier that I think is probably true and well thought out. The theory says that every game over you have is canon.

The "idea clusters" are actually "memories." You are collecting the memories of those who have fallen. When you die, Vendetta creates a new Aradia who collects your memories and experiences. This is why, despite having clear endings where your Aradia is dead/enslaved, you can continue your journey with the message "revenge never ends," because your new Aradia will take up your legacy. (Yes, there are some continuity issues with this but it's still a good theory).

The true ending also requires 130 karma to unlock. This means you have to rescue victims and, more than likely, complete Suzune's story to unlock it. This requirement might seem annoying, but it shows how your Aradia and the true Aradia had different journeys. While your Aradia got to see how the revenge of the demons, the revenge of the churches upon the witches, and Suzune's revenge, only continued the cycle of suffering and hatred, the true Aradia only stayed on the path of revenge.

Anyways that's pretty much it. Yeah I nerded out on this one. This is probably the best H game I've ever played in terms of story and animations. Props to the developer.

Some interesting tidbits and notes:

I'm still not 100% sure what Vendetta's role is (thanks translations) outside of creating Aradia. She seems to be on her own revenge journey too.

There are a few game overs where Vendetta is violated, further adding to the revenge theory/theme. In one particular one, Aradia is tortured and interrogated for the church's whereabouts. She eventually gives in and Vendetta is captured as well.

Pretty much all the NPCs you meet have a horrible ending outside of Suzune. The scared nun at the bottom floor of the cathedral ends up raped. The two nun girls you help out are captured and raped in front of each other. One of the particularly sad ones for me is the inspector girl you meet near the midpoint of the game. She and her men encounter tentacles and most of her men are slaughtered. The survivors mutiny on her, thinking it'd be better to use her body since they're all going to die anyways.
How do you get the ending where Aradia is tortured and gives up Vendetta's location?

Where was the Inspector girl again who you meet at thr midpoint?

fun fact about decensoring all those assets for a straight:

doing so effectively ruined the game for me.

a big part of eroticism is intrigue, mystery, unfamiliarity. but i have seen every single pixel of this game intimately as they became a source of frustration and tedium. now all I see as I replay the game are my minor mistakes and memories of altering those sheets with an absolute expectation of what ought to happen. no longer are these ideas, but merely pieces of laboring effort moving together on a screen. I feel as dulled to the game's charm as D-lis himself, but with none of the profit or pride that comes with building it.

in my pursuit to make the game better, to improve the art for my own enjoyment, I lost the ability to enjoy it entirely, and i am left an empty husk as others enjoy the game in the very way I had hoped for myself.

enjoy the fruits of my sacrifice as i ferment in my curse.

You will always have a place in my heart. I will say your name to my grandchildren and I will say to then, He my children is a true hero.
