Our protagonist is a girl named Setsuna Shindo.
At first glance, she's just a normal high school student, but after school and on her days off, she's a sister of the Central Church along with her older sister, Yuka.

The dispelling of vile demonic forces that have carved their way into the bodies of innocent humans. Cases of possession have been on the rise as of late, and as the thought surfaced as to whether this was some kind of Dark Premonition... Yuka would find herself kidnapped by a mysterious organization, leaving no trace of her whereabouts. Setsuna searches for her missing sister, helped by the head priest of the church, and her childhood friend, Toma Kitagawa.

Yuka's captors initiate their search for Setsuna as well, and this will mark the beginning of her Eternal Purgatory of Vile Lust...​

where to throw the save?

The readme in the save might say the wrong location depending on windows version. I ended up putting it in /users/<username>/saved games/
Not in /my documents / saved games/

Just maybe, trying to use Japanese setting ?

Seem dumb, but I know Guilty's work don't work on my computer with just Japanese unicode, I have to use NTLEA or LE to have them work. Else, yes, I don't have text. So most likely something along the language setting.

Oh, and since it's a porting, I guess first I'll make sure to remove any non-local symbol or syntax from the folder path name like the " ～ ", "-" or "x" (which look like special Japanese font letter).

Edit : no problem on my side with Japanese unicode as default and keeping the symbol.

Linear game, but great artwork. You pick from two ends, one of the girls gives birth to demons either way. Its done off screen. Reminds me of the Taimanin or Inyouchuu series but maybe slightly less hardcore.

Well, yeah, that's Guilty. Not a lot of choice, but the art is here (if you like it) - although after multiple game you see that they tend to make the girl look a lot like each other - and there lot of text, so it's nice to have it in English and not in Japanese, using translating tool for bit of understanding.
Also, it's nice to have the "motion" version translated and not the still CG version (but that's a personal taste thing).

I was thinking about the "unicode" under the regional setting of your OS. But you can just try lauching the game exe using emulating tool like Local Emulator (LE), setting it to Japanese instead of changing your local setting.

But it would be strange to need Japanese local setting for an official English release...

yeah, but one thing to consider tho, which basically explains my problems, is that Im on a macbook using "Wine" to launch the game. And I don't think locale emulator is available for Mac. So I've just been restarting my mac everytime I want to switch from english to japanese again, it's a pain, so I just have jp locale on default.
