ODS is already released. I'm a bit disappointed by the ending though. Seriously no good ending. And it is very very short

This is a very tragically convoluted plot strangled game of going in circles:
When you get stuck ...
When we start the game, MC is poisonned with grief and literally paralized by the venom .
After so many updates later, MC is yet again muted, in this dire ending, deafened, blinded and brought close to death by the most vile outburst of venom we have ever seen. We have come to a complete circle of irrellevant insignifficant MC getting better just for a fleeting couple of updates, only to then get brought into one even more hellish reality.
Another death is just true to form at this point.
What matters is the whole journey, including, in my humble opinion, the loss of the ”pretty boy” charm and the absolute fantastic retaliation from both the emisary of Chaos and the angel of Order rallying all the girls into the show down with the mayor.
This game is wonderful up until that part ... even a couple a scenes after that .. maybe meeting and greeting GOD ... possibly making it to Etherium and having the conversation with the caretaker of that place.
Anything beyond those moments is total dissolution of all the plot that was built around rallying allies towards a common goal.

MC is belittled by God and made into a crippled old brittle forgetful man with no purpose ( MC forgot about most of his most adorned followers and totally forgot about the demoness who is guarding the whole of the feathers: MC forgot about his whole reason to exist in the last update, so this ending is just a steamroller desecration of MC and this game.)
MC dies for literally nothing - no reward, no punishment, no sense - constantly throughout the game.

How does harem work? I played most of the ren'py games here and most of the times harem doesn't make sense, it's not logical at all and it's there for whatever dumb reason. So how does it work? Is it possible to just choose 1 girl?
I read that it's 1st a VN and second a porn, which is really good, but how true is that? Is the characterization decent enough? I see that this game has more than 4 stars but I gotta say that people don't know how to rate a game so I'm not gonna take that seriously.

We wanted things to progress and go further than the rabid hole that gets started once MC gets the feather and the number of God and the sweetie dissapears, as disappearance is a constant in the game and the end culminating in everyone dissapearing and MC losing his mind effectively leaves a pointless depression and a gnawing nothingness and void in the hearts and minds of players. The irony of everyone disappearing from MC life in the beginning with everyone disappearing in the end is not lost, but it puts this game in a coffin:
his family abandoned his game and moved on IRL, GOD keeps his gains off the backs of MC and his wife ten years of hard work while MC is just reborn to suffer indeffinitely the same fate from this game, now with GOD even wilder and emboldened to sacrifice and torment MC even more viciously with the wife gone from the game completely. A conclusion of Sysiphus unwarranted sadistic eternity of horrendous pain and collosal loss awaiting MC is a depression nightmare immesurable to the hopeful fleeting moments we get mid game.

I want to know too. I haven't played the last 2 updates.
The last time I played was when the girls (and overall people) started vanishing from existence (memory) and the MC had lost the spell for making him look less old and ugly.
What I've read from the comments doesn't make the game too enticing to be picked up.

I'd hate to somewhat agree with him, but it is disappointing.
I kind of guessed what the ending would be when things started to go off the rails a few updates ago, but I didn't expect the ending to be like this. Seems like a lack of effort? I'm not trying to put the author/dev down, but it seems thrown together while it does explain the situation.
Essentially all the story and choices you make in this VN are for naught, a build up to an ending that's deflated.
Haven't tried this game yet. I hope that happens behind the scenes at least? Be nice to not have to witness that process
its not too bad, its obviosly not a 10/10 storry but at least many things make sense now. Calling it bad is not right but i would say its ok. We all know that there is no happy ending.

While it isn't the best ending I've seen, it's also not the worst...I mean let's face it...we all knew that there wasn't going to be a "great" ending. On the bright side, it does end well for the lost.

That's not what I was taking away from the game but I didn't get as far as yall to see it all. I thought it was about him healing and being a positive influence on some people that needed him. In fact I'm pretty sure I read the dev on here talking about just that but oh well.
