I'm just glad he doesn't look like a douchy teenager that I would have thrown in the dumpster back in high school, like in so many other games. It's hard to play these when I don't like the character I'm playing. He's not a pretty boy and definitely would have the chances of an ice cube in the oven with most of these girls in real life but it's not like the game aims for realism. I enjoy the way the characters are written first and foremost, and looking at the girls of course.
If only you could turn down the pigtailyness a bit. I get that it's a schoolgirl fantasy thing for guys but none of these women are school girls and to be honest I don't remember seeing any girl above the age of 9 with pigtails on the streets in a long ass time.
Look how killian treat to the MC kind of like a bromance and Mina here just only a third wheel lol , but at the beginning when killian pops up and say “ looks can be deceiving with that blue eyes and background boss music “ almost just like he got some dastardly scheme for the MC.

Killian suffers from a big hero worship case. Before he was a rebel teenager when walking around with Edwin and now he is a asshole pervert who treat women like disposable trash, just like his uncle. Hence why his mother asked Edwin to convince Ian to change.
Depends on where you are and how the pigtails are made. There are grown-up versions of them. Sure, they are not the most common hairstyle among adults, but not as rare as you seem to think.
In his defence the desire to see a non-generic MC is understandable. Unfortunately on F95, whenever I see a non-generic interesting looking male character I immediately look at the tag and there's a 99% chance of seeing 'gay', if it is not already obviously furry

Wow. Did anybody notice that Pale Carnations is rated number #3 of all time on games here? I am truly amazed.
It's a great game, definately one of my favorites, and all the accolades are well deserved, but for such a relatively new game to shoot to the top of the rankings, after only a few updates, it is surprising.
