Does anyone have an recommendation for games similar to this?
There're many very good games in this web, but similar to this? I don't think so, it's one of a kind.
I agree with Zero that it's not really possible to find a game "similar" to Pale Carnations. I would compare it to Mass Effect 2 in that it was developed with the mindset of taking the elements TD and GIL liked in other games and create their own version of "the sweaty nerd power [porn] fantasy." Want to be "the young/naive new kid on the block?" got it, but also want to hold authoritative power over grown women? TD and GIL: "Here's your cake, and you can eat it too." Want women to practically throw themselves at you, but you also like the chase, or perhaps you prefer slowly corrupting someone with a secret willing-sub streak? All this and more. And so on it goes. PC also "borrows" from ME2's playbook by heavily customizing to player choice (just read through this thread on the divergent fans for each girl), and to a greater degree: crafting a character story rather than a plot-driven one, such that the "main plot" is usually forgotten about.
So what should you play between PC Updates? Well that purely depends on which element(s) of PC you want in other games. Some people like Honey Select (HS), others stick with more realistic graphics (3D), some like Maledom (M), while others drool over the occasional Femdom (F) in PC, or just BDSM in general (B), or it's the Power Dynamic (P) over the NPCs or Corrupting them (C) that gets the blood pumping, especially if there's a Harem option (H) (i.e. relationship exclusivity is not required). Then there's the occasional fan who actually puts Writing (W) as a priority over the porn, whether it's the main story, or the characters.
