I wouldn't call Victoria "broken". Sure, she has absolutely no filter and doesn't seem to mind walking out half naked in front of her son and his friend, but that's because she's already used to doing really nasty stuff on camera, so she probably became naturally flirty and comfortable with sexual talk. Vicky actually seems pretty well adjusted for a sex worker, without falling into the pitfalls most other pornstars and prostitutes fall into. All in all, she's been a great mother to Edwin, despite their circumstances.
If anything, Edwin's the one embellishing and coping with the fact that his mom was a nasty skank, getting gangbanged and eating assholes on camera. He keeps insisting that he doesn't view women differently because of his mother and that her porn career doesn't bother him, but the lady doth protest too much in my opinion. At no point during Victoria's conversation with Ian last update were her recently failed dating attempts addressed. This plot thread that was introduced near the very start of the game is still unresolved, as far as I can tell.

It's pretty hard for a 45yo widowed single mother to find a suitable partner, especially on dating apps. That doesn't mean a beuatiful woman like her doesn't have dick appointments with hot fuckboys looking to pump and dump.
The dating app was introduced at the start of the story and Victoria stopped using it shortly afterwards, whether she fucked any of her dates isn't really the point. When discussing with Edwin she is unsuccessfully looking for something that satisfies more than physical needs. At least 1 of them isn't hearing the full truth from her

I've been wanting to play this game for awhile now, but don't have much free time anymore, sadly. So I can't really spend time reloading on the same run over and over again. Could someone explain to me how the "routes" in this game work?
Is it see all the girls content in a single play-through, but pick who you like in the end? Should I focus on one girl per play-through?
Or is it a bit of a mix? Also, are certain "backgrounds" better for certain girls or are they mostly for flavor?

Just play at your heart's content. No matter what you do, you won't unlock every sex scene in a single gameplay. Anyway, you've got lots of save slots and that little friend of ours called skip button (which is CTRL key in your PC keyboard).

Y'know, to some extent I almost kinda wish MC-kun was banging Vicky, because maybe then I wouldn't be reading an "Oh my stars, it's like I'm doing my mom" essay each single time MC-kun lays his penis, hands or even just eyes on Rose. For somebody who's really only romantically interested in Rose, it really creeps the fuck out of me, takes me out of the game and badly tanks enjoyability of her scenes.
If you're going to go through it once, yeah, I would recommend just saying yes to a lot of the girls. You'll see the majority of the scenes that way (up to a yet to be reached point where something has to give), and for the most part you won't be penalized.

So far there aren't really distinct paths. There is one decision that lets you commit into a full relationship with one of the LIs, but you right now that only excludes you from additional content (at least if you take it seriously, you can immediately go and cheat on her if you want). If you don't commit, you still get all the content with her and with the other girls if you took the right decisions.
There are however a few decisions along the way that have scenes that exclude each other, but those are only a handful here and there.

Let me strongly disagree.
You have two very different paths for Rosalind. Three different paths for Mina. Two different paths for Felicia (still without consequences, but we will see the difference in the next update, I guess). Three different paths for Hana. Two different paths for Veronica (maybe). Let alone key decisions you make here and there that have a major impact on almost everything.
I agree with you on this! In case of Rosi, it is more 3 paths, even if two are more on the same side than the other one. While so far the decisions you made had "only middling" impact, it adds up in the background and will hit sooner or later full force!
There are several key decisions which already paved certain paths and practically closed off others.
And boy, let's hope some of those distinctions end up being worth a damn.
if you dont mind could you give some insight on the paths I might of missed for Hana and Mina. I only did one playthrough. Only ones I can think of off the top of my head are. Hana : GF, friend with benefits third path no idea. Mina : casual sex / fuck buddies , assuming 1 path is to keep her and Ian together and third I have no clue

His question was if he misses a lot of content in only one playthrough, not if the nuances of the story change. And as of now it doesn't much.

I was expecting this last week, but we got the new dev diary this week instead!
From these numbers it looks like our devs created 389 statics, 2 animations and 5693 words over the intervening 20 day period. That's an average of ~136 statics, 0.7 animations and 1993 words per week. Overall, TD and the GIL are averaging 117 statics, 2.5 animations and 2710 words per week since work on Chapter 4 Update 4 began. Here are the charts for Week 6:
Things seem to be proceeding at a fairly normal pace, heavier on statics than animations in the early going. If my guess that the first 'something' TD mentioned is the infamous MC/Ian/Rosalind threesome, I expect animations will go way up in the near future; we'll have to keep an eye on that.
Not sure what the complication with Felicia's date will be, though I'm sure a lot of people are hoping it involves Mina. Regardless of what these surpises wind up being, I'm definitely looking forward to the update as ordered!
