Yeah, you're right about being different -- i simply don't get the "being neutral" part when Ian has been an asshole to Mina when they were together. Or how Edwin can consider himself "a very good friend" to Mina in this case, when he apparently doesn't give a fuck about how his other very good friend has treated her and is instead just giving him a pass.
I think this depends on how you want to play the game, Imo I like to roleplay as the main character of the story I'm presented with, by that I mean, stay true to what that character would do, or how they'd act, in most AVN it doesn't help that many main characters are blank slates and have little to no real backstory other than dead parents or some shit. But in PC, since the very beginning the story tells you that Ian
is your lifelong friend, and as big of an asshole as he might be to women, he's
never been bad to you, hell you only enter the club thanks to him, so "cheating" on him with Mina, is something I feel Edwin wouldn't be happy with doing, even if at that point their relationship is over because Mina is going to break up with him sooner than later anyway.
It's true Edwin might be a good friend to Mina, but she's nothing to him when compared to Ian, hell, if we're being realistic, if some choice presented itself where MC needs to save someone's life and can only choose 1, he would save Ian over any other character in the story. (other than Victoria ofc)
On other stuff you 2 mentioned, I don't think Ian deserves a second chance, or rather, Mina doesn't deserve to be stuck with him twice. But I do think he'll get some type of redemption arc, idk if he'll end up with his nanny or if he'll find a better girl for him, but I don't see a MinaxIan ending, I also think that moving past that one relationship is crucial for him in becoming a better person.
