Sophia´s invention is not a complete secret and known inside their firm. It is just that "Viagra+" should be made into a pure energy drink instead of a sex medicine. Abel and Sophia play up the angle of them being dissatisfied with the direction the firm wants to take with the new invention. Most development on the drug is done in normal labs, some "special spin" done by Sophia in the black labs - maybe. It is also probable that nearly all development is done in the normal labs, because it is unlikely a major medical developer would not see the use and profit a new type of Viagra could generate. Especially as potent as Sophia´s concoction is.
Sophia is using info gained by their own research and from the uses in the Club. This very fast advance of the drug development, no matter how capable Sophia is, is only possible if there is substantial background research happening. It is possible to get breakthroughs in a mini lab/hell´s kitchen, but it is simply fantasy to think it would be quick advance!

While that might be done partly in black labs for the special versions, a lot or research for it will come from normal places. As mentioned before, that does not make Abel and Sophia glowingly white, they have some black stains on them. I think that is something dawning on at least Sophia, how far they have gone to bring down Chuck and Kath.
I estimate once toppling Chuck and Kath is achieved, a new, better Viagra will be announced to be developed by Abel and Sophia´s firm. Maybe with also announcing Sophia replacing retiring Abel. A new Viagra invented by her would nicely cement her position as new CEO.

Renaming the MC is one of the most important feature of an AVN, so I lean more on the 99% are renaming them. Some people prefer saying the default name instead of MC in discussions though, even if they renamed.

I almost never use the default name in an AVN, though that's more reflexive habit than it is a need for a specific name. I usually just make up a name that seems appropriate based on what I know starting the game. But renaming the MC becomes very handy if I like the game enough to keep multiple save paths, since that helps keep them separate; in that case, I usually make up a name appropriate to whatever the path is aiming for.

After the last throuple experience Edwin had with Ian, that nearly crippled their friendship after but one week, i'm sure the second time will be a charm. Something something insanity.

I prefer to think of it as degree of difficulty. I'm an elite player, I can pull it off!

I think this is purely fan fiction, sorry Turret Abel and Sophia are testing a rape drug or whatever you want to call it on living humans. Whatever they doing on the basement of the club could be pretty nefarious and worse than anything Chuck or August ever done in the club, maybe not Kathleen hehe.

Strictly speaking, Abel has made clear in the cut scenes that his project can be much more than a rape drug. Of course, the fact that he's perfectly happy to let it be used as a rape drug does sour me on whatever "greater good" he's actually aiming for.

Jokes aside, the fact that a threesome with Mina and Felicia can only happen if you cross the line seems more like a "fuckboy" route, rather than an attempt to create some kind of serious relationship. And starting a serious relationship as a rebound guy isn't the best idea, although it would be complicated for a porn game. Who knows, maybe TD will surprise us here too, because if it doesn't have any consequences in the end, waiting for Mina and Ian to "officially" break up will be pointless. You'll lose scenes with Mina, the opportunity for a threesome with Felicia or her gaining a self-confidence point and maybe something else.

Most important of all, you lose the opportunity for Mina gloat if she successfully seduces the MC after he rejected Felicia! It's the ultimate sacrifice!

The girlfriend path opens up special scenes not available otherwise. You can still cheat on Hana, but that I would say is very unwise, considering her Dad is something of the "Godfather" of Morehead Hills.
If you want to be with girls outside the Club (inside PC Hana and Edwin have an understanding) you should choose to be Friends with benefits.
As for a harem ending, the chances for this are close to zero. You can be friendly with most girls in the game, but there will come a time where you have to choose your special sweetheart. Singular.

IMO, it is the BEST game. Tho I find Desert Stalker is generally more fun, PC hits with such a gut punch of major emotions, with characters you find both attractive and that you care about, that it is a largely tragic relationship train wreck you just can't look away from (in a good way).

IMO, PC is kind of like watching Arcane (the League of Legends show): you both need and DREAD to tune back in and, in both, the letter "H" in its name stands for "happiness" (hint: there isn't an H to be found)..

The great hidden feature of PC, if you aren't save-differentiating by name, is that Edwin works well for either a weak-ass cuck or a total sleazy slimeball, tho that name will, to me, always invoke the image of a douchebag wizard who gets a sexchange magically forced on him in Balder's Gate.

If I want a slimeball, I just name him Dick or Rod, and get it over with. Literally go hard or go home.

There is a game (Elleria: Wheel of Fate) where your last name is automatically Magnus (meaning greatest or biggest), so I *definitely* named him Richard, there, to keep it sounding plausibly formal, yet retaining the implied "Life of Brian" style Roman dick joke. Ironically, at some point, that MC thinks abt being a king, and what ppl would say abt "King Richard". Somewhere, Shakespeare was having a laugh at that one.

That he knew abt his mom's semi-hidden career from early adolescence, and not only didn't turn outright misogynistic, but instead still loved her dearly, is laudible in itself, but even more amazing is it even seems to have resulted in him having an acceptance of the humanity and rights of (and possibly even outright respect for) sex workers. That is a psychological hurdle a lot of young guys would NOT have cleared, seeing their moms getting repeatedly porked professionally for all to see.

His stoicism likely is a result of having to sort that out, and/or may have helped the process. Ofc, he does have a darker side that you can choose to focus on, but his main trend seems to have been to hold a steady line.

I think she simply didn't represent any real value beyond her body, and bodies are... abundant. In a world where no woman can ever drown, what's another set of beach balls.

There's also the question of personality. If you're going to lean on a person continuously, you want to know if that person can rationalise the coercion... productively. You can count on a first generation immigrant to pay protection money for their little corner shop without much fuss, because they fucking know better. A second generation kid with delusions of the Great American Dream that inherited the corner store last month might try to pull a shotgun on you. Which really just shows sending your kids to school is a grave mistake.

Locally, Allison seems like a perfect example in that, as an actress, she might naturally have an utilitarian view of her body, coupled with a goal orientated attitude towards its exploitation. Her leash continues being yanked, but she can also smell the treat she wants and is willing to spread her legs to get it (and presumably keep it in the future), all without it having an obvious, immediate destructive effect on her psyche.

He may look average if the baseline was typical human appearance (and even then, i'd say he's more on the lower part of this curve) but this game has the "Hollywood homely" effect going at full throttle, so in this sort of a cast he ends up looking like absolute dog shit. It's to the point where iirc i felt compelled to make a screenshot of juxtaposition between text about his looks and the dude's actual appearance, when that update first aired.
