Play the game without worrying whether you will be locked out of scenes. You have a long way to go, and while some choices will open some things and not others, you can always open up those other things in different ways (if they exist). There is a guide in the bedroom (the notebook) that should help move you along if you get stuck. Hope that helps!

Hey ParadiseLofts, firstly just wanted to give my opinion of the game and bits of constructive criticism.

As far as my opinion of the game, I love it; very well done on the first chapter. It’s nice to see a porn game where you come to jack off but stay, and it’s genuinely fun to play. The mini-games and puzzles can be a bit tricky at times, and it would be nice to have a second go at all of them with no negative repercussions. However, equally, it is possible to do a quick save, maybe add a warning before any parts of the game that change the overall outcome to allow the player to do a quick save?

The scripting, dialogue and art are also excellent, and I like your art style a lot. The only complaint I have is on a 4k reasonably big monitor; the art becomes quite a bit more pixelated. Maybe export the images in a higher resolution? Unless that’s a design choice, then ignore me.

Overall, I like the game well done, I bought it on steam yesterday, and I like the changes you made between v0.16 and v0.17.

The only real bugbear I have with the game is the notepad walkthrough. I think it could do with some improvements. Mainly after playing the game to the end of v0.16, at least to what I thought was the end, I hadn’t unlocked the

and there was no information in the walkthrough/notepad that it was even possible. Also, a couple of times, the note pad would be empty when playing. I presumed I had finished the game, and only by luck, when just going around, I would talk to someone who would unlock something more.

So if I were to suggest any last improvements to the game, they would be;
  • Put up warnings when a choice is about to be made that would change the game’s outcome so the player can save.
  • Export the art in a higher resolution and let use player select quality if it affects performance/ ignore that if it’s supposed to look like that and I’m barking up the wrong tree.
  • Lastly, improve the notepad/walkthrough. The improvements would be to make sure the walkthrough clarifies when there is more to do with a particular person. Also, if there is more to do, possibly have something in the notepad to suggest it and if the player has done everything they say they have. Maybe include a change log in the game to see if they have played what’s in the latest update or a tick list to see if the players have reached each possible outcome of the game. I can understand if you don’t want the notepad to walk the player through everything but maybe have an option that lets them decide how big/many hints they get?

I hope my comments aren’t seen as negative and are only my opinion, so be free to disregard them. As I want to make it clear again, this game is very good, and as far as chapter one is concerned, it is 99% there, very well done. I look forward to seeing where this game will go in the future; you have earned yourself another patron follower, good luck.

Your comments are not seen as negative at all. In fact, all awesome.

1) warnings - great idea and I had something similar in mind a long time ago, that I dropped the ball on.

2) Loads of work to reset the art, but possible, except for a few bits here and there (probably has more to do with my poor coding skills than anything else, though). I always had in mind, if the game got wildly popular, I would hire someone to essentially get this in order for me.

3) I agree 100% on your walkthrough suggestions, too. I actually changed that walkthrough at the last minute (prior to steam release) and there's several things missing. I will be fixing it eventually, and will look into implementing change log notes with it. That's a good idea.

By the way, I am not the artist; just the writer, and I learned to code as I went along with this project. I have discovered I love coding, even if I suck at it, though lol

Model – you need to fill the side bar.
Thanks for doing this. You are a brave woman. – Knowing you, I trust you’ll get back on track. – Beautiful and charming – You’re a natural beauty. – You poise and confidence. – You bet you are! – At the moment, no. – I’ll bet you are more beautiful than your sister. – What’s more fun? Studying or modeling? – Think about the way you want to come across in print. – Last round. Give it everything you got!
Found this on the internet, I tried following it but it's impossible to fill Jane's side bar while doing the photoshoot. I've experimented with the different dialogues myself but without any success. Help please :D?

You need to help her more at home, cooking or studying. The base multiplier increases with a higher relationship score. Get high enough and it's very easy to complete the challenge (or it should be). Hope that helps!

So how is the game coming along?
I suppose it's about time for an official posted update. I'll be updating Patreon soon, too.

As for Paradise Lofts, we're a little over 70% of funding, but it's coming in very slowly. I love the project so much, I'd like to continue, and we have code in place to get moving on it, once I pull the trigger... I just haven't fully committed to pulling that trigger. There's an awesome and loyal fanbase, but it's a very small one, unfortunately. We have a sale on Steam coming up in a week or so and I'm eager to see if we can continue to grow our audience there. Every time we get reviews or a little discussion on that platform, it tends to bump the numbers in our favor. Cross your fingers.

I do have some very cool news, though. I have missed coding a lot, and an artist approached me about collaborating. It's a great fit, as there is no financial burden on either of us; just our time. I'm offering the code, he's doing the art and a colleague has provided the story. It's miles apart from Paradise Lofts, save for being heavy on comedy.

If things continue as they are, I expect the first version of this project to be up in a couple weeks.

Hope the art style remains mostly the same; there's definitely a few projects that I feel like lost their charm once they redid all the art.

Also, finding out that Anonymousperv has helped out writing definitely hepls explain why I like this project so much; hope you guys keep up the cool work

I think it just tags every post by the user as a fan of that particular game, if they are using that signature (I think you can have more than one, too)... but I'm not 100% clear on all of it, actually. Just best guessing.
thanks cool
