its just one of those things a lot of games in this genre miss; yeah its about sex but emotion is a big part for many of us, and some of us really enjoy sharing small physical interactions as signs of endearment and appreciation.

Yeah, the new characters are a mix of totally new characters and re-purposed / re-designed characters. Miss Brazil, for example, is now the A/V Tech for Jack and Raven's porn Studio. Similarly Emi and Ryoko got a makeover (both visually and story wise), as did Vivian. Others are totally new (but that's a story for later).
Not sure that's really the case (unless your preference goes way more BWW, in which case, yeah... no ++ size girls)

I'm unsure as well as I attempted to give Karen every single negative response yet the achievement still doesn't trigger for acquiring it as I see that when I did a search for this achievement there was only two posts about it and no one has been kind enough to assist for those that did get it. So please anyone that got the achievement You're not the boss of me can you help others out?

Have you checked the debug menu? It does not seem to affect achievements. Maybe you can flip the switch from there and move on.

She's coming
A lot of the content in the game is centered around a specific building that Jack sets up, and later expands upon. So the first update (which is the opening sequence) is building a new Quadplex, and welcoming your two first new characters (Emi and Ryoko). Basically it's the tutorial (introducing new mechanics, etc).
After that we're trying to make the game much more non-linear. You'll be able to pick which parts of the resort you want to focus on, and storylines will arise out of that. So far we've gotten two buildings into the game (the Hangar, which unlocks Raven's Porn Studio story-lines, and the Restaurant, which is mainly focused on Andrea and Jenn's stories). Next up is the Bar (at the cove where the wreck used to be), and the floatplane dock (the original place Jack washed up in PL1).
We're trying to fix issues people raised in PL1 (We do listen, here, on Patreon or Discord); both in making the storylines less interconnected (so if you don't want any Karen content you don't need to complete Karen's content to get to Olga's content), in making the world less linear (while there are over-arching story-lines, how you unfold them is a lot more non-linear), and in reducing grind. Sex$ are gone (as is Smeat), with cash being generated from the state of the hotel itself, rather than being something you grind through minigames. We'll see if people prefer that
Today's the day unless Steam fucks up somehow. But anyways, I have a few questions regarding Paradise Lust 2:
1. No, not all the characters will show up. Some are scrapped for good, others are waiting for their turn. We're planning 5 new girls for PL2, and a big cast or returning girls... just trying to make sure they all get enough content is going to be a push
