Really, really interesting concept and character art. I liked how the mother clearly looked like a true MILF, and older than the other female characters, which are akin to the PC, age wise.

The whole story also got me intrigued, which is great. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this will play out.

I'll probably become your patron. I just didn't already because your project is brand new, and I usually wait for a few weeks or months (depends on your work output) to see how the developer interacts with its patrons and how much work (builds, art, previews, etc.) he does monthly. If you do a fair share, I'll make the jump.

With that said, I'm not a big fan of game content behind paywalls... There's nothing more frustrating for someone who is donating (and, in Patreon, IT IS a donation) to discover that, i.e., a site like this has a leaked version of the game (the one a higher tier donation got first) before he, who contributes, got his. More than once, I actually dropped out of a project because of something like that happening.

Give exclusive polls to your higher donation tiers. Give walkthroughs. Previews. Exclusive higher tier channel inside Discord. Etc, etc., etc. Those are but just a couple of things you can offer to incentivize higher donations.

Remember: Unless you have a game where its actual assets are online and needs to be constantly accessed (like a typical MMO), your game WILL get ripped. So I wouldn't try to put the game per se behind any paywall. Or, at the very least, allow all tiers to have access to the builds at the same time. That way, if it leaks (and it will, happens to ALL Patreon projects out there), no one who is actually contributing to your project will feel "cheated" in the process.

Many good projects in Patreon have the game without any paywall and are doing pretty well, financially speaking.

Imho, Patreon is not about charging people. But about having a great project, and a great creative process where your "fans" get to interact with you and your art a lot. To the point of them giving you their hard earned money so you can continue what you are doing. It's more about providing entertainment, than just a game.

See the difference here? They are not buying it from you. They are not paying for a subscription. They just want you to continue what you are doing and are even willing to pay so you can do even more, if possible.

Reach that point (and a few developers did, Like Dark Cookie and a few others), and you simply won't even need to care about piracy anymore.

At all.

I usually don't write this much about a new project, but yours have some real potential, IMO. I just couldn't resist and try to help.

Anyways, keep up the great work! I'll be watching your project closely. And, if everything works as I think it will, shall become a patron of yours shortly.
This so much this! I'm a patron of a number of games but only at the lower levels as I have only so much to spend on porn games and i want to spread it as much as possible. I think all games i support, I'm not at high enough levels to actually access new versions. Sortof pisses me off a bit but that's one reason I'm here. I can grab the newest versions and still feel that I'm at least contributing a bit to artists and devs I like. Does mean I tend to spend more time here than on the Patreon forums but oh well.

I'm so happy to hear that you like my demo! I can understand the frustration behind a game being leaked, and others getting access to an early access game which only the higher-tier patrons should be entitled to. I find that while there is no denying that a game will be leaked, this shouldn't dis-entitle higher-tier patrons from accessing the early-access game... I see the issue through the lens of this weird and perhaps illogical analogy: Say if I was a movie producer, and I was to release a movie to the cinemas, should I by reason of knowing that other people may stream or torrent the movie, stop charging people to go to the cinemas to see my movie and rely on people donating to me on the basis that they support my work? While a game is not synonymous with a movie... I find it that I'm not yet in the financial position to make the risk of loosing the market of people who want to be a higher-tier patron just to access my game earlier, as cynical and capitalistic as it may seem ~

With that said however, I think giving exclusive polls to your higher donation tiers, walkthroughs, previews and exclusive channel access inside discord might be the things that make higher donation tiers feel less cheated , and I will go about my way implementing that ^_^

Thanks for your feedback <3

I only praised it because you did a great job , IMO. Nothing more, nothing less ^^

With that said, I really don't agree with your analogy, and the motive is quite clear: You're not a movie producer. And, most importantly, you're not making a commercial product (like a film is).

That's why I started my prior explanation with a simple truth: Patronage is a donation. When I contribute to your project, I do it in good faith. You do not have to deliver anything after that. And I won't be able to even ask for a refund. See where this is going?

Key word: donation.

Patreon is about financially helping (emphasis here) the artist. Not buying from him. And what you (and a lot of other content creators out there) are doing is, simply put, selling early access.

When, IMHO, you should actually prioritize making the whole content production process fun to your patrons. Stream in Picarto daily. Post a lot of things in your Patreon page and Discord. Etc.

"Create" a great community around your game production for your patrons.

I believe most patrons out there are after the whole "entertainment package" about your production process, and not just about the game per se.

Again, I ask you to take a look at how Dark Cookie is doing and remind you that he has NEVER (and I should know since I've been a higher tier patron of his from the very beginning) put any of his actual game behind any paywall.

IMO, it's a mere myth that you need that to have financial success in Patreon.

You just need a great project and to provide great entertainment while creating your project.

The rest naturally follows.

But, then again, it's your project. So do what you feel its best.

I just gave you my two cents on the subject. Keep putting content out, and I'll become a patron of yours, probably. Though, if I have to wait a lot at a lower tier, and the game leaks, I wouldn't be surprised if I dropped my patronage all together eventually.

Because, as I explained earlier, I'm not buying access to an unfinished product.

Instead, I just donated some funds in good faith to an artist. The least I would expect is access to your game. Having to go through piracy channels in order to do so, even though I'm donating, is a big, no, HUGE, no-no to me.

And that's why I posted this.

Cheers, and keep up the excellent work. ^^

My suggestion?? If you can do this honey studio stuff really fast, maybe the higher tiers get one or 2 "custom requests" a month and you send them a image of that. Like a patreon wants a 3some scene with mc, mom, and his personal assistant- Take a few minutes, do a nice threesome pic and make it pretty. Send it out and happy patreon!
Just a thought! If I was paying 20 dollars a month and I got a custom picture, a poll, and maybe a brainstorm session for a scene monthly was well as constant access to the game, I'd be happy.
Oh to prevent alpha/beta leaks, only send those out to your closest friends. :D

I think Alexa looks young for her age... And I actually have a reason for that ... More on that later ~
And it's very cool that this game have variety and diversity. I'm milf fan all the way, but always looking forward to this "innocent flower" type of girl, incredibly cute and sweet pumpkin. It's rare treat.

OOoo yes ! That is a really good idea! I definitely want to do that ... I'm hoping it won't ruin the full integrity of the story though ... Seems like a massive jump from teasing ~

Hmm right ! I'll put that into consideration... The demo for now is free ... To perhaps some people they might feel that the sole reason they 'donated' is for the sake of getting early access? I think I need to hear more about it from more people before I make a decision on whether or not I should release any future updates with a paywall... From your 'two-cents' I'm opened to the idea of it ^-^

If you want to be a good dev emulate what Dark Cookie does. Keep people excited and engaged but don't let patreons steer your ship, otherwise you will end up like Tom Hanks and you don't want that.

Earlier we were discussing lazy devs in discord and on the fly Bloo came up with this which I totally agree with.

It's your story and will go the way you want it to. A smart way Dark Cookie keeps the community engaged with Summertime Saga is by having his patreons vote on what character story arcs they want to see next. That way he can kinda focus his efforts in a single direction making it easier, patreons get their democracy and everyone is happier with the end result.

This, so much this! My suggestion about being open and honest actually ties into this. I'm not interested in paying for any of these games, early access or not. I am interested in supporting a good developer. And there are many many ways that a good community can support a developer above and beyond simply money.

Oh Adoringfan~ Always being super helpful to me ^-^ Thank you for this ~! I think I am going to guide my audience in a certain direction and then let them make certain decisions ... That way I can steer the narrative and keep the community happy ~~ <3 I'm definitely going to reference the "The Things you should do when creating a game" more often ~

(writing as I play, I feel its more direct feedback)

So you know the dev is a big nerd when the biggest thing the MC is excited about is not the free minibar (since that thing is ass expensive irl) but the free wifi LOL. Love that you have manage to make the models so well using HS, though the butt on the girls still has that japanese missing ass look. Still better than what I can pull off on my version.

There's a slight conversation mix up where Eliza seems to have a conversation with herself when she returns to MC in his room.

Not sure I like the game over when she pushes out her chest. Maybe have her react negatively and you lose relationship instead. and Does Eliza have freckles? they disappear in the close up shots but look like they are there in regular gameplay.

The intro of the mom....is a bit underdeveloped. As someone who has lived their life without their mother in the picture I can't imagine this being the way that convo goes if I were to ever meet her. The guilt part good. just the writing needs a bit more work here, flushed out a bit. The back half of the conversation is pretty decent, but here is where the hint of mom having a son fetish seems to be so its what I expected. Meeting the sisters looks and feels like those long lost reunions on tv so kudos there.

Do people go to arcades anymore? all the ones around here closed down years ago. Closest you can get is something like a Chuck E Cheese.

Well erotic content lacking a bit we get a little eliza tease. But all in all will be keeping an eye on this one!

Thank you for your feedback ~! Firstly yeah... There is a little mix-up.. I tried to do this thing where I change perspective, and we can see what Eliza thinks? Does it work? Its the part where Eliza says "*Ahaha so ridiculous* or something right? I think I am going to remove it ~

I changed the game mechanics from having a game over menu to a try again menu... This means that you won't get penalized at all for being super overly perverted or weird ...

With the intro of the mom: (Warning: hardcore 4th wall penetration) While some games like to have people invest themselves in the character of the MC, I want the people playing my game to BE the MC. With that I try constantly to make the MC be a passive character and a kind of ... layman without any idiosyncrasies , so that players can identify themselves as the MC. The reason behind this is I feel like if I include too much particulars and specific things associated with the MC, the player would feel like they are not the MC by this difference. With that said, that might have distracted me from actually processing how a person would feel reuniting with a mother figure. I will try to make it more believable ^-^ Do you justice~

And arcades still do exist! Many of them use cards instead of tickets now which is dumb...

In terms of erotic content ~ Next update <3

Not to pick, but you sell preferential influence to higher contributors, for a free game? Are lower contributors second class citizens?

I think I'm going to put the updates for early access for higher-tier contributors... I've asked them on my own patreon if that's what they wanted and they said it's a good reward... The game will ultimately be free, but I've made promises on patreon that would be dishonest and unwise to steer from! I hope you're not using the words 'second-class citizens' in a derogatory way~ And depends on your frame of reference, you can say that people are contributing for the sake of their own enjoyment... Which when you put it that way doesn't sound bad at all~

Nice 100th comment btw xD
