Not really. I'm just disappointed that there always needs to be a "hero" that disrespects the work of a solo developer, as if it's his sacred duty to damage his livelihood, just for five minutes of glory and a bunch of likes. Congrats for the Serotonin high, hero.

Oh and, of course, even a mod deleted my appeal on the OP to wait a bit before pirating my work.

And you people wonder why I haven't been replying to posts here since January?

Anyways, now it only depends on how the subs go. If I confirm the damage, don't be shocked if I do something about it. Because you're playing with the bread of my daughters.
We all know it goes though, telling people not to do something (even just gently asking) makes someone doing that thing inevitable (although it was already probably inevitable anyway, that's why they had to be encouraged not to in the first place). C'est la vie, after all.

By "you people", do you mean fans of your game that could of been potential subscribers that you decided not to respond to after you didn't like what they said?

I do agree that people dropping updates against your wishes, but let's not pretend that may be the only reason subscriber numbers dont go up with your upcoming updates.

Wow, this is a great game! Genuinely having lots of fun playing aside from just the sexual aspects. Building a relationship with people is pretty fun, excited to see more content, especially for Kayla.

Upcoming tags for this game on F95 say (and on Patreon/Subscribestar implies) that the game is supposed to feature:

Multiple Endings, Cosplay, Romance, Voyeurism, Exhibitionism, Stripping, Teasing, Sleep Sex, Prostitution, Sex Toys, Lesbian, Handjob, Footjob, Titfuck, Oral Sex, Vaginal Sex, Virgin, Creampie, Anal Sex, Multiple Penetration, Group Sex, Bukkake.

We're at 0.9 and practically none of this is in. Developer is kidding himself if he thinks that piracy is what is hurting sales; personally I don't even think it's *worth* pirating as it is now. The last version I played was 0.6 last year and I won't be bothering torrenting 0.9, and most likely I'll skip 0.10 and 0.11 and 0.12 and so on until it receives actual sexual content.

I can't subscribe to someone with no track record making an experimental title which they straight up claim may or may not ever be finished—especially not when they come onto a pirate forum dropping lines like "you're taking bread away from my daughters" because the pirates didn't give them a two week grace period before getting our hands on the newest update.

It is not one's duty to give money every single month to solo developers who want to make a new unique game simply because of the fact that they are taking a risk yet plan to support it long-term. "It doesn't have the content you want, but buy it anyway! How dare you pirate it!?" This is basically giving the same argument that big name game publishers like EA and Activision give when they justify their "live service" titles that come out with next to no content but a "roadmap" of future content instead, often times getting their support cut early because of a lack of public interest. It was always a gamble for both creator and consumer.

Not trying to play devil's advocate here, but he already releases himself the game for free every month. If you can't wait a little for the latest release I don't think the problem is the developer.

For what it's worth, the most popular project on the site (Being a DIK) gets pirated literally within minutes of it being released to paying supporters, and still manages to rake in $100k USD per month. And DrPinkCake is a literal solo dev that does all of the story, artwork, music, etc by himself.

This 'problem' of piracy wasn't able to be solved by the likes of Nintendo and the trillion dollar industries of film and music. If you truly want to continue down this path of making money through adult game development, I suggest you find a way of making peace with people pirating your stuff. After all, most people would not have found your work without f95zone. How about you make a poll amongst your paying supporters to see how many of them found Pizza Hot through f95zone or other piracy-related communites, and instead of saying "there would be more of these if it were not for piracy", say "there would be a whole lot less of these (or none at all) if it weren't for the free, zero-effort advertisement that these communities provide for me"?

Almost two years for the content that people actually want in the game is not a "little" - that said, of course, if it's free you're not entitled to anything - but the dev is trying to make money off it so the complaints shouldn't come as a surprise.

I´d say do something asap and and delay public versions at least 3 months.

You can´t rely on the character and common sense of rats, when your livelihood depends on it.

I'm going to be blunt. People who pirate, most likely will never buy the product they are pirating. So, whomever you saw as a potential costumer in here, you shouldn't count them in, and I know a lot of people here do in fact contribute to many projects, it's for you peace of mind.
And to put things into perspective, Gods are perfect creatures in the eyes of their believers, and even them don't get to convince all people of their existence despite being "omnipotent" and "flawless." So, what can you expect from normal people. As a human being, you will have to deal with all sorts of perceptions people have of your person, and no mater how much effort and dedication you put into your project, there will always be someone who will complain and dislike what you do no matter how good it is, so take things in stride, take the good and bad opinions with a grain of salt. Focus on doing things how you think is best, don't antagonize the trolls, and critics, being stoic will help you cope with hostility and you'll have the moral high ground even if some people don't see it.

Did you just compare developing a porn game to God and religion?

For me, there's no better example to show that people will have differing opinions even when something is supposedly "flawless" and there's nothing to do about it than to learn how to live with it.
And no, I was not comparing developing porn, I was being broad and general, it can be applied to anything, from writing poems, to political opinions, there's no convincing everyone of you point of view. Read again, I never once mentioned, lewd content, or explicit content specifically. Not even a god can convince the entire population of the planet about its existence (if they do), let alone a flawed slab of meat that lives 80 years on average. Learn to live peacefully as a slab of meat surrounded with other slabs of meat that are individual with different points of view and way of thing and meat slabbing, like the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

1. I am a subscriber and Im on F95 so no, your first comment is BS. People constantly generalizing the whole world and acting as their rep need to really learn to act with a bit more maturity and understand there are/can be exceptions to all cases

2. Your last comments I completely agree with (except comparisons to God/religion). Devs and users constantly arguing about piracy, annoyances etc. should learn that they also bring in marketing etc. (Proven fact in business) and even if not, until there are viable options, best to ignore them and continue development. Not worth losing your brand image with bickering. His decision to continue extending update cycles are just going to backfire not only short term but over long term brand credibility.. Just my 2 cents if concerned person reads this (dont care if you agree or not).
