Edit: so far, after you defeat him he pops up in the south-west corner of the city (on the beach, near the western fence), then north, between the inn and the blue shop

Last place is in the inn in the room after you change to enter

It's labeled as RPGM but F4 doesn't seem to work for full screen. Anybody know how I can fix this? The game is showing up on my monitor smaller than an Android screen. Did I download the wrong version? Do I have a mobile version instead?

Might've helped if you actually explained what exactly you mean by "fucking shitty UI/UX" and why it supposedly makes the game a chore to play. It's literally just Pokémon with porn added it in, it's worked pretty much the same in more than 20 years and I'd wager a lot of people in this thread are familiar with it that way.
I have genuinely no idea what your problem with the game is because all the information you gave is "the UI is shitty".

Searching the thread hasn't helped me much so sorry if this question is being asked again but has anyone figured out how to fix the fmodex errors while running under Wine?

Last time I ran this (probably more than a year ago at this point) I remember getting those errors and I think I got around them somehow, but this time it just ran for me straight away under a fresh prefix. I am running wine 5.22 though; if you are under ubuntu or another non-rolling release distro you might have a much older version of wine and it might be worth updating.

Ok yep I speak too soon, I run into the error as well when trying to view some scenes. I'm not going to finish troubleshooting this tonight, but iirc I got it last time by looking up how to fix similar errors for other games until I found some obscure thread with a winecfg answer, but it might have been winetricks. If someone figures this out I would love to know.

While the engine does support resizing the window, the feature has been deliberately disabled because it causes problems with the illustrations. Disappointing, I know.
