Aren't jokes and pop-culture references the main theme of PV? This is what keeps 40% of interest in the game, especially because of the many jokes.

Actually they ruin the game for me, at least the story part. I'd be happy with a complete lack of any attempt at humor or pop culture in PV, because honestly - it just doesn't work. But then I had to give up on the game partway through Chapter 7, so it's a bit of a moot point.

For me, the MC is a moron, but he's meant to be a moron, due to the comedy framework. I find that very different to most other games, where the MC is meant to be a serious, normal guy, but is actually a moron.

I like the humor in the game. My only gripe is the conversations they have during what I think would be a great opportunity for a steamy sex scene. An obvious example I can point to is when Aliza was finally taken for a ride and they discussed Apple gift cards during the entire scene. It took away from a scene I was kind of looking forward to.

I noticed that was more frequent when Chapter 6 got started, and it's one of the reasons I dropped the game.

For me, the MC is a moron, but he's meant to be a moron, due to the comedy framework. I find that very different to most other games, where the MC is meant to be a serious, normal guy, but is actually a moron.

He's really even worse than that - he's a consummate idiot with the IQ of a rock. He continues doing things (like opening a safe) in a house that has pinhole cameras everywhere. And since the player is given choice over where to go in the house, the order in which things happen, and (some) decisions to make, it's like WE are the idiots playing the MC. That didn't sit well with me - the lack of choice, respect from family, and overuse of bad humor just turned me off. If I could change that by removing the humor/pop culture, adding in more respect from others for the MC (at least to standard human levels), and actually being allowed to choose who to screw and how things unfolded, the game would be a winner.

That's what I was trying to say very poorly. He is a consummate idiot with the IQ of a rock, but so is 90% of all the MCs. The difference for me, is that he is meant to be, he's written that way. So I don't actually find it frustrating, like I do when Devs are trying to be serious and there MC is no better than here.

Could not agree more with that. There's nothing I hate more than forced sex/romance (although personally, there's only 1 here that I would turn down). But I was aware coming in that it was like that and give CTRL a good working out during her scenes.

My primary "kick to the curb" LI would have been Mallory - that bitch didn't deserve anything, much less several good dickings. But then I found "caving in" to many of the LIs (like a good little walking sex toy/handmaid) overall not fun. I counted at least a dozen times where I would have turned down sex with a girl and had zero choice in the matter.

I thought this could be an interesting development where they end up having sex with Sterling talking about David and saying how much better Sterling is or something from the past ? I think it will be a good scene

Well, the rules say we're only allowed to suggest two characters, but WWG could certainly add characters if he likes. I think that may be the case with Kumiko x Flora (which won in April)... I'm guessing based on the "Speed Mating" teasers that they'll get it on in while Ophelia and Sterling are present.

Thanks. I thought that this was a missed opportunity, especially knowing Nora’s past with her son and now that Ophelia and her son have almost the same fate, this could be a logical course of events...

1 and 3 seem to have been set up by the last chapter with Amber's admission and Sterling breaking his deal with Kevin.

For 2 I don't see how Cerberus can handle Ophelia's giant ass.

4 seems kind of odd that it hasn't happened more than once and that one time was Lucia throwing herself at Hunter. Lucia seems like the easiest target in the house for Hunter due to her fetish. Yet he doesn't seem to care much for her given that he's willing to kill her.

My first thought when she appeared was clone, and some others have said the same too.

There's also been a theory posited in favour of cryogenics, but unless it came with a side effect of wiping her memory then she'd know Hunter as her husband and not her benefactor, and would be aware of having had children with him.

I was shocked that even Drew didn't knew about that. When Ophelia called him, he screamed Hunter's name to check as to what Hunter had done.

Original Annabelle ("Annabelle 1") started working at Hunter's restaurant in 1979 and they got married soon after, so let's assume she was at least 18, that would put her birth year as 1961 at the latest. Annabelle 1 died of cancer in 2002, when she would have been around 41. Clearly the new Annabelle ("Annabelle 2") is much younger than that, in fact she looks identical to a photo labeled "Summer Vacation 1981" showing Annabelle 1 at (presumably) 20 years old. (Said photo can be seen in the Chapter 13 previews.)

Now, if Annabelle 2 IS 20 years old, then that means she was born/created around 1999 (as Power Vacuum is set in 2019), which was 3 years BEFORE Annabelle 1 died. If that was the sequence of events, then my extreme long shot theory is that Hunter intended to save his wife by giving her new organs from her clone, but his plan obviously changed after Annabelle 1 died before her clone was mature enough to harvest.

Alternatively, if Annabelle 2 was born/created around the original's death, then she'd only be about 17. If this is the case, I really have no idea what Hunter's plan was, except some kind of crazy The Boys From Brazil idea that he could recreate his wife by ensuring her clone had certain life experiences.

Man, that's wild. Let's see how it goes. I think so Hunter found a 75% look alike like Anna and used the money that he was getting from streaming the home scenes, to touch her face up even more so she looks like the real Anna, so he could have her company again in his life, since she was the woman he loved. So that after he let's say killed Sterling, Hunter could introduce Anna and she could reduce in sadness of Sterling's absence that the main girls felt.

If there are going for NTR ends in the last chapter then why hasn't Hunter won with Annabelle ? is the canon criteria applicable here as well that Sterling has to fuck Anna first ? or Hunter just hasn't been nominated yet against Anna ?
