I'd honor his request. Honestly he will deliver and the public version will no doubt give a better first impression than what his patreons are getting.
Not only that, there's not much of a game yet, so leaking it out wouldn't do much anyway. I look forward to revisiting this thread in a year.

The new Public Build, that will actually be proof of concept demo, will be released much sooner than a year.
As of now it's only a testing map with a couple of switches, it's more of an object to identify and correct game breaking bugs before the actual release, there is absolutely nothing to share to the wide audience...and the h-scenes are all available on the dev's .

then you should now what's up and what the "excuse" would be.

Long story short:
  1. DEV HDD exploded
  2. DEV didn't have cloud saves ('cause he was an idiot)
  3. DEV forced to restart
  4. DEV polled on Discord if rebuild the same 2.5D side scroller or go third person again
  5. 90% voted third person
  6. DEV started working again (this time with cloud backups)
feel free to join the dev's discord if you want to know more.

so if it's gonna be a third-person game with arguably the same mechanics as his first project, why just not continue the first one?

Both are a third person game, but that's about it. The gameplay mechanics look like it gonna be different on the new one in comparison to what the first game was supposed to be. Take a quick look at his patreon page, there's some videos showing some early gameplay prototype of the new game.

As mk40 said, Project Elimination wants to be more action oriented with survival horror elements (to compare: Metal Gear Solid PP style action with limited resources), while Project Unknown will be full survival horror (Dead Space x Aliens)...

can anybody suggest games like Project unknown? u know,, third person shooting with forced scenes?
There's five I can think of right now
  • Too Much Light: Zombies, not much content right now and slow development
  • Secret Survey: Zombies and some other monsters, not a whole lot of content and similarly slow development
  • Bioasshard Arena: Zombies again, a bit more polished and development is at least consistent. Parody of Resident Evil.
  • Delta Zone: Humans and monsters (only tentacles right now for monsters), still fairly new, good development, but free updates are slow due to an in-game patreon check. Gameplay inspired by games like STALKER and Escape From Tarkov.
  • Seed of the Dead: Sweet Home: Zombies, this one is actually completed. Gameplay very much like Left 4 Dead. It's a male protagonist though, with anime girl allies; so there's more of a focus on romance (all skippable, thankfully), and a good amount of the forced scenes are very gore-focused (+extremely gorey death scenes but can be turned off). Gameplay itself is actually fun though.

found a bug. when you get to the area where you fist encounter the small enemy after geting the card there is an area right behind it where you can get stuck(forgot to screenshot it) between the ceiling where a mucus wall is in front of the barricade.

Do you mean third person or do you mean 2D side scroller?

Anyway a few that J55555 already linked below and I have a few more;
  • PER: the 3D version of this game in this thread
  • Last Barbarian: a great 3D action game set in fantasy setting (orcs, vampires, succubus, etc...) very close to completion now
  • Hounds of Meteor: 2D side scroller like the game in this thread
  • Threshold Road: 3D action horror game, an unusual combo we don't often see as an adult game
  • Happy Heart Panic: 2D action game with futa, traps and furry. Lots of fun for those who like all that stuff
  • Parasite In City: 2D action zombie game, great visuals (for the time it came out) and still one of my favourites
  • Captivity: 2D action zombie, simple visuals but still fun, definitely worth playing once if you like side scrollers
  • Ayura Crisis: 2D beat-em-up, great fun and great content
And a few more as I got tired of making the list haha! All below are 2D side scrollers.

On another note, any forum staff around who can change this thread to status abandoned? As per dev's patreon post the 2D side scroller in this thread is abandoned

Does the gallery mode not contain all animations? There is only like 4 animation but from the change log it say added 8 new animations?
