I'm so sad to this factHonestly, I don't know why anyone would even want to make a porn game and start a patreon for financial help. More than half the time, some catastrophe always happens to them or their loved ones, which causes the project to be halted. I swear it's not a coincidence.I'm starting to think this way as well. big fan of project sage here myself and yesh i myself am disappointed a lot.. not a patron so no right to complain.. but i do patron a few. just wish to say that, i really do feel most of you people feelings and disappointment, but just for instance wish to say can you create a master piece with a broken heart and mind. say the DEV is cheating but he not forcing anyone.. world is full of cheaters, its not there fault, but mostly those who are too innocent or act without thinking and gets themselves cheated. for instance the companies promising high rate of return on your investment or good flats with great facilities at very cheap prices.
but dear friends just think for once, every coin has 2 side, what if Paper work really going through some bad time, how would he feel reading our comments, are we motivating him or just driving him more into the dark side by showing our frustration. yesh, He should have stop the patrongae or pause it until he could restart it, but might be there is something that we are not aware of going behind the screen. No excuses here though, but say if he not stopping.. no one asking the Patrons themselves not to stop it and even if they are paying it, we shouldn't point it out.. its there money and decision..
i just hope, this site is build mostly for fun and everyone has there issues and we all deal them in our own ways, some are way stronger with mind and heart compare to others.. So, its better to stay quiet rather than discouraging someone with our harsh words... because its easy to accuse but what if the accusation turns to be wrong, can we change what we said or did out of our anger..
The best we all can do is wait and prey... if its too hard to wait just remove this game from your favs and forget it. its hard to encourage and motivate others with words and action, but people can easily get demotivated.. very easy to walk the wrong path but very hard to stay righteous..

u have a point riya4fun. if we have that in mind that "people" are egoistical bastards, we dont need to guess why, if they lie, cheat, BS, brake a promise etc. so, the best way to "fight" this behavior is to not feed it. shut it down, block it.
one way to block it is to stop supporting him, give him 0$/month and Im sure he will return the next day.
the problem is not paperwork, he is a human and a human is a egoistical being. the problem is the patrons the keep supporting him.

I mean yes and no. Stopping support may make him come back or it may make him abandon it all together. Likewise, supporting him could give him motivation and an update will happen soonish or you could be throwing your money away. There is no guarantee. There is no best way to 'fight' or make him produce because we simply don't know what he's doing and we probably never will. He goes silent like this even if he is working on the updates. Its your money, do what you want with it and don't listen to anyone else.
I should also add, there are many developers who works on games that don't update very often. Waifu academy, Milfy City, Legend of Krystal, love and submission just to name a few off the top of my head. Kinda sucks but this isn't all that crazy of a situation and if you think it is just ignore the game.

I highly doubt that paperwork devoted so many hours of his lifespan to the game as hoax. I also don't think that anyone will change his mind based on whether they continue to support him on patreon or not. Motivation for art is almost never extrinsic.
Those who don't want to support him any more should stop supporting him. Those who do want to support him still should continue supporting him. Those who are not supporting him should not make moral judgements about whether or not people currently supporting him should continue to support him or not.
A hiatus this long in a game's development almost always means that it is over. I can only think of one exception and that was VWA, which eventually was abandoned anyway.
The very most useless way of spending lifespan, I am convinced, is trying to psychoanalyze developers you do not know, based on whether or not they are producing to your standards.

since I have a master in sociology and psychology and work in a treatment home for self harm behavior, I have learned a bit what works and what will increase bad behavior. also, people need motivation and can be lazy. if you give him rewards without him needing to do anything, it will not make him more motivated to work, contrary, it could make him less motivated and could create anxiety.
here, Im not sure, if a reward will make him lazy or feel bad about it or both. to know that I need more data. but no matter what, good behavior need to be rewarded, while bad behavior need to be blocked. we dont know for sure his health state, but,
its not the patrons job to be understanding or act like therapist. if he needs someone to talk, he need to do that in his private life.

I feel like this is getting out of hand. We can go back and forth about this, but it isn't going anywhere. No one is right or wrong in this situation because we simply don't know what he is doing and speculating isn't productive. He may be working he may not. He used to do relatively quick updates, but as the game has so many options updates began taking longer and longer when he was still releasing them.
The point is, if you have something productive to comment then comment. If not, then don't comment. If you are upset with the developer send him a private message because we don't want to read about grown people crying for reasons A B and C. And no one besides you cares what you do with your money or not. personally, when I see a notification about Project Sage, I'd like to read something about the game, not rage rants like there has been in that past. Yes, i understand thing might seem like a rage rant but I'd rather is just be a post where we all come to a realization that all this rage ranting is pointless. If he makes it, he makes it. If he doesn't, find a new game.

Ima call bullshit on the "master in sociology and psychology," given that those are actually very different fields of study and no reputable institution would likely create a master's degree program incorporating both.
What a person regards as "rewards" or punishments depends on the individual, and someone with actual academic training would never make these kinds of generalizations. While it is true that, by definition, rewards encourage rewarded behavior and punishments discourage punished behavior, no one needs a master's degree to look up the definitions of words.
Would a patron cancelling their support reward or discourage Paperwork? We don't know. PW could see that as a good thing, relieving him of responsibility for producing a product and thus encourage further delays, or PW could see that as a punishment. The exact same is true of continued support: PW could see that as encouraging current behavior, or punishing it (by increasing guilt).
Since we have no clue (even those of us claiming bogus degrees) what is true regarding PW (or, indeed, anyone else we don't know personally), I'll just reiterate that any of PW's patrons should act based on how they think of the situation, not based on what bogus psychoanalysis people here claim to be able to perform on PW. Best to assume that your actions have no impact on him at all.

Usually, I use Unren to open pics in RenPy games, because it's often not interest or too grindy to find all scenes.
But I still don't Unren last version of Amy's adventures and sometimes replay it with different choises. And find some new scenes almost each playing!

he will do a great update because he promises to me that the full Amy wild spirit will be in this version in about 5 months.

There are many factor that can explain that. However his deduction in post 4334 stand. Build up half or quarter of game, agitate some horny patron tothrow in their money, and stop working by giving some tragic excuse, voila! You got income without doing any work.
The pattern is repeated everywhere but people failed or intentionally failed to see it, because they are hoping by turning blind by something so obvious and being nice to the game creator, the game creator might show them mercy and continue the work so they can fap with a good material again.
It's both pathetic and funny at the same time.
