Personal attacks already? Are we allowed to do that now?:sneaky: Since you haven't refuted a single thing I've said I'll just assume you agree and if you agree that she's just a "side character" then all the character building in season 1 was pointless or bad writing? Pick one.
For the record, I chose victim of bad writing. Let's keep it civil.
Oh dear, poor snowflake. Obviously I'd thought that if you were going to be dishing it out, criticizing the writing to the writer, you'd be prepared to take some in turn.

Plus, I think it rather adeptly showed a quick and tidy turn of phrase, which did indeed answer the implicit criticism.

Now, since you are deciding to play dense (let's be kind and assume you are playing), one of the things you'd notice about this game, assuming you could keep up with the words, is that we don't treat any character as "just a side character".

In fact, as you just so clearly pointed out yourself, undermining your own attempt at some kind of point, we did indeed do a lot of character building - your words, not ours. Guess we did that with the terrible writing, huh? Funny how it came across then.

Mei is, and will remain, an important character. There are several reasons for this, not least of which is that 2 of the 3 main love interests effectively regard her as extended family. Jensen himself cares for her a lot, and specifically pointed out in series one that she reminds him a bit of his first lost love, Jade. Coincidentally, that's one of the things that make her less than ideal for him as a love interest, given he's spent literally decades trying to get past the death of Jade, so having a constant reminder would be ... awkward.

Mei has her own part in the story. Just the same as say, Stephan or Markus do, who work with Jensen, and whom nobody has complained shouldn't be in the game if you can't fuck them. Mei's story is interwoven with Nicky's, and will remain so. She is also the link between the story of Jensen, and the Yakuza, and if you were at all up to date on the plot, you might (if you had the talent for it) be thinking. You'd be thinking that if the Army and politicians may already be compromised, where oh where might Jensen possibly find a powerful ally...

Don't worry though. I'm not going to demonstrate how poor my writing is by making you look foolish. That accomplishment is all your own doing.

Seems you had me at a disadvantage. I didn't know you were the one responsible for the piss poor writing and convoluted plot. If someone stepped on my toes I would probably be butthurt and lash out too. Nah, not really I'm an adult.
Not many can take criticism I guess that requires a certain talent.;)

Oh you can't single me out for that. I think most people have you at a disadvantage.

Very true. Weak characters tend to reply with whines about personal attacks, after they started it. Thank goodness I'm doing it in writing, which I'm so poor at, eh? ;)

Bruh relax. People are sharing their opinions, dont attack people like that wtf. And i personally agree. S2 is a mess. Compared to how much action it was in S1, it feels disappointing.
Oh, so you think you can share your opinion on what we submit to the public, but your comments are somehow different? I'm not allowed an opinion on that? That's not quite how discussion works, especially not on a public forum. I'm a believer in free speech. You have every right to express your views and opinions, and be judged for them, as I have every right to respond and point out the flaws therein.

That's because you were expecting a porn game, it isn't, it's a novel that happens to have some porn in it.

Season 2 was story based, Jensen isn't fucking around anymore, he lost his pheromone thing and has the option of 3 love interests that will probably start up in season 3.

Telling the writer to relax when someone personally attacks their writing ability as well as attacking them as a person, one who then trashes the story they've worked hard on, proceeding to trash said story yourself, and then acting as if they were the only one doing the attacking?
Not a great plan.gif

There are lesbians in the story, and they have been there since the first season, and Jensen has been going through a story arc.

This is a novel not a porn game. Jensen isn't going to be fucking around, he has 3 love interests and you get to pick 1. The rest of the cast has their own thing going on.

Don't know why i'm bothering, it's clear you skipped all of the story.
i didnt skip story.just story got more lesbianised.so dont worry about bothering.

It's not an acting lessons crossover anymore, that was pulled quite a long time ago that's why the names were changed and some story elements.
Then why does Jensen face off with Dick in Chapter 4, Episode 1? It's still a continuity problem, because Rena was dating Dick, not Andrea (Andi) within the context of this novel, regardless of what happened in AL.

Andi used to be Rena, like I said, name change.

Different characters now, there is no crossover.

Spot on.... This Novel is more than just fap.

I've already introduced some of the characters of my next game in RTP, once RTP is finished. Not going to say which.

While it's perhaps a little sad that we can't just pick whatever girl we like as our love interest, I do think all the girls get plenty screentime. Sometimes even more than necessary (like, several scenes in the last two updates felt a bit like "filler" material). And, carving out their character does give MrKnobb the interesting opportunity to create his own "universe", allowing for (radically!) different games, with different stories, allowing cameos for our favourite characters. Let's just call that universe "Knobb City" for convenience.

I could totally see a new game revolving around Hitori, for example. Starting just before the time he meets Mei. His game would tell an entirely different story, one that briefly touches Jensens' story, but for the rest revolves more around his fight with the Triad, his relation with the Yakuza, and hardly, if ever, even mentions Addam or Romanonov or whoever is more primarily featured as antagonist in Retrieving the Past.

Such a series of games would eventually become quite complex, but interesting nonetheless. And the nicest thing about it, your favourite sidegirl from one game could well end up as a primary LI in the next.
