Honestly, you cannot have any interest in adult media (e.g. porn) and not at some point be exposed to ads of some kind that talk about pheromones. Then there's all the mainstream media 'discovery' type programs that have focused on the decades of public scientific research into pheromones - (a particularly hot topic when scientists were discussing why Bees were becoming rare, as hives use pheromones).

It's a porn game, so the pheromones are an easy opportunity to get into some early and otherwise illogical sex, but I also appreciate that this was an unintended side effect of the genetic manipulation from the experiments.
Obviously, it has to be unintended, since the purpose of the experiments was to create super soldiers. Can't have an effective fighting unit if the proximity makes the soldiers want to get naked and funky. Not in today's mixed armed forces, that is!
I hope the effect will one day be explained along the way, but I am glad it is fading into the background. This game is building relationships between male and female characters and it would cheapen their meaning if it appeared MC was "cheating", intentionally or not, to woo the ladies.

Hmmm, now I wonder where he nicked the idea to introduce explicit scenes in an otherwise far fetched story. Must feel strange to many developers. 
I once aspired to be a biologist, but ended up doing something entirely different. I remember a professor doing an experiment where he proved that pheromones influence human behaviour. What made it saucy is that he used his own students as lab rats, although I think he asked before and I don’t think any of them objected. There was no sex involved, afaik .

Hmm, I've actually played both games, though not religiously, so I can't say for sure, but I don't recall pheromones as the main thrust in either. I kind of remember the first game, the guy was really good at seducing women, but I didn't recall it being pheromones (it's been a while since I played it). The second game, which is better, I don't think has anything about pheromones.
I'm probably missing something, but I don't get the connection.

I was just curios. My game is called Lawyer by trade and its not my main project(I am in heaven is my main game)...I think first release for somewhere around January 2018 but either way game is in early stage.
I played maybe 10-15min into your first episode... thats why I was curios...( thought I had something unique or at least close to that )

Yeah I didn`t play this game too long(maybe 10-15min into first episode) and the MC was a chick magnet because of Pheromones(girls got aroused near him because of scent or something...). Thats was my fist impression!
In my game MC was using steroids in college. It was some experimental drug and because of that he got Pheromone disorder!? And when he`s dominant around women they get aroused because of that ... Thats something in a nutshell... But that game is very early in development....
Now I feel bad about posting my question to mrKnobb. I`ll delete my post!

Nah. Knobby is a good egg and you cleared it up. And, really, the whole pheromone thing isn't even the main thing in the story. It's just a side effect. So, now I see the connection you made.
I think your second game has real promise, because you've created complications for your MC and he's not a jerk like the first game (sorry).
Since you're a dev, you won't always get time to play other games, but this one is very interesting and worth a play if you do find yourself with a few extra minutes.

In a world of millions of people, never mind the billions there actually are, the chances of ever having a truly unique idea are exceptionally slim. The best you can ever hope for is to combine it with enough other things for there to be a unique mix.( thought I had something unique or at least close to that
Pheromones are far from secret or unknown about. Wikipedia has information on them, and I'm sure it won't surprise you to learn that quite a few people visit wikipedia (in any second of the day). WebMD talks about them. Literally hundreds of spurious fragrances, pills and potions are sold under the promise of boosting them. Google will happily promise you it has

from over 6 million web pages all about them.As a plot-device for adult games, pheromones are just a bit more obvious than mind control or magic/witchcraft as a plot device to have people behaving far more sluttily than they usually might.

It was said before, but this (RTP's) plot does not revolve around pheromones, it comes up and then disappears altogether.
