speaking of inceton's other games, gog has jennifer and some else on sale.
I know I'm an idiot...but what is for sale that is different than the final version posted in that game's thread here? I know there are 'patreon' versions, etc., but don't those usually leak after a while? So for a completed game what's the selling point to pay for it now?? [And what site is gog?]

not all are pirates and not all are supporters so there is potentially big audience potentially ready to buy their games and some support devs by buying game from steam or gog after it's finished.

Thanks. Now I feel even dumber. I just ass-you-and-me'd you were using an abbreviation for a site that is well known in the community but not to newbies like me. :D

That's fair. (y) I'm new to all this but I am already on the verge of ignoring anything that is not completed because it is so frustrating wait on updates. So I can see there being a market for completed games with all bells and whistles included and no unknown conflicts with previous versions of the game or mods.

some games take year or 2 (or even longer) to complete so waiting for completed version can be very long wait.

Inceton has so many games to work on, it'll probably be another year before Episode 10 releases. As of now the total completion for that episode is 10%, that's in 2 months time - and I'm being generous with the prediction. Anywhere between 6 to 12 months. This is the only reason I haven't backed Inceton yet because I do not care much for the other games he's working on. He may need to expand his creative team while he himself keeps working on the stories first.
Yeah, likewise this is the only title of theirs I like, and I've been following it since chapter five. It's pretty consistently been around four months from 0 to complete per chapter, and they don't update those estimates systematically. I wish they made more stuff I like, because inceton puts out new content like clockwork compared to the usual porn-game dev. Who publish about as a consistently as the more syphilis-addled romantic poets.

well they have 3 teams making games so easy to pull new games and let mia get sidelined.

I really like the game
But I think it had the potential to be even better.

The writing and choices could be better imo
Still, I know none of that stuff will change this late in development.

I just feel it missed out on being as good as all the top games on here

Also, Mia is the star to me
I wouldn't even play this if she wasn't in it

Oh yeah, what else is there? I think the devs were as surprised as anyone when the two dimensional object of lust they'd set out to create took on a life of her own and turned their rapey incest porn into a genuine romantic tragedy. The only other character that's even marginally interesting in their own right is her lunatic best friend.

The devs pretty clearly don't like Mia anymore, they just want to move on and make Lust Theory season 20 already :BootyTime:
I think Mia's a character took on a life of her own, and they've never been entirely sure how that happened or what to do with her. Inceton has clearly developed a successful formula for modular episodic development, and she's too much a bespoke creation to fit.

It's a real shame too. Even though the models/animations/renders are on par with the rest of their work (which isn't a bad thing). The writing in this specific project surpasses all of them by a mile. I don't doubt that they're working on it, but I'd wish they'd prioritize it more since it's easily the best one. I believe the writer for SWM visits this thread occasionally, so maybe they could give us some insight on the current progress if they see this.

To be completely transparent, there hasn't been much progress. A couple weeks after the last episode was released, I set off on a holiday to Europe and just got home a few days ago (don't give me shit for it, it's literally the first one I've had in like 10 years). But now that I'm home, I'll really start working hard on the script for the final ep. As far as an ETA goes, I can't really give an exact one, but it certainly won't take a year like some people have said. If everyone knuckles down, I'd say it could come out in about 4 or so months.

Ah that makes sense. Not that you need the validation but it's great that you took some time to yourself. So I definitely don't fault you or the team for the lack of progress. Just disappointing (for lack of a better word) since this is the project I look forward to the most. Best of luck on writing the next episode. Looking forward to what you cook up.
