To me - it all depends on the queue system. Game theory means if you do the right things, here are your rewards. I don't mind having sex (if you earn it) with multiple girls. I hate it when there is an actual harem after the game, and everyone is fawning over the MC. I would prefer an ending where you pick one and see the ending. See different endings for more fun. But not all the girls together. While all the girls together sounds like fun, dude no. PL and SL .. they got those endings right. TFTUV is also going down the right path.

If you look at Long Live the Princess - holy shit did that ending stir stuff up as basically the whole time you had 10 side girls, and you were forced to choose 1. People freaked. I loved it. I mean you cannot sit there and say "you are the only one for me, I love you" to your childhood friend, convert her from lesbian to bi-sexual via mind control, pick and marry another girl, and expect her to still love you as her best friend for life and still give you a piece of tail on the side.

I do understand what both of you are saying, but I do understand why so many people like harems and always ask me about them. In real life, you cannot have more than one girl in most societies. But these are fantasies with no consequences and you can have all of the hot girls and it not be a clusterfuck lol

And of course you have the other side of what you guys are more on and I am also really big on is the romance and solo, so I try to include all of those routes. The only reason this will not be a harem game is just because there are too many girls that it would be unrealistic in my mind, otherwise I would have no problem adding a separate Harem route on top of the solo, so, yeah.

I want to make everyone happy, but I don't think I should force a harem I really don't see.

I have said this to many devs, you do you, and let the chips fall where they may. I will play many games that are not my jam because I like to play games and enjoy the dialog and pictures. I will continue to play this game if for no other reason than the dialog, story, and pictures. I happen to like other things as well so this is creeping up my board of "liked" games, due to giving me the feels. If I have to grab a tissue while reading, maybe things struck a cord and I enjoy it much more.

A well run harem can work if it is not forced, and small (which is your problem here with so many possible people to join). The mathematical possibilities are hurting my under caffeinated mind. Again - do what you want - it is your story. I just feel the whole harem ending is a really hard thing to pull off. A good story has people investing emotions into characters, and when the situation changes, people lash out. Perspective is everything, and I know this is a work in progress so I know to keep things and emotions in check. I only judge a final product, and offer constructive criticism along the way when asked.

I've always said it was a possibility, but never anything concrete. I can't predict too far ahead of the game, but now that we are getting into the girls,' routes, I don't think a harem makes sense. Starting a business with Irene, a bakery with Norah, and a bunch of other storylines that I have just Do not sit with so many girls that have so much going on.

But I'm just specificating. Nothing is set in stone yet

you are right,harems are unrealistic and if that bothers people,they can just play other games,For me personally it depends on the context. Though if, like in some games, those partners are also involved with each other and in the story that enriches their lives I am alright with that. Like in PP, actually, it made sense to have a harem. Everyone seemed like they actually got closer to each because of the mutual love they shared and everyone actually cared about each other rather than it just being a "wham bam, squirt some jizz in my bam bam."

Secret Summer was never actually planned as a full on harem. The girls all know the mc is messing with them all and accept sharing him. This has been known since the first release of the game if anyone paid attention or has been in his discord for any given time.

I like harem games (which I am defining here as games where you can have multiple LIs whether or not there is any involvment among the women) not because it's a fantasy of mine (one person at a time is all I want or need), but for a practical reason - I can see content with all the women without having to play the game multiple times. The lack of realism doesn't bother me. If I have to play through the game over and over choosing a different woman to focus on each time, I am likely to pass on that game (I make exceptions if the game is particularly good and the number of paths is reasonably limited (i.e., if there are 20 (interesting to me) LIs in the game and I have to pick only one each time, that game is probably going to get deleted no matter how good it is).
