Hey everyone, sorry for the delay in getting a update out to you all. Last week was again not great but I did manage to get 90 renders done. I had to redo a bunch of them for some reason. Daz has been acting stupid and I am not the only one that has noticed it doing strange shit. It would do things like one model looked fine the other would look like smeared clay sitting beside it... It also was fucking up my lighting. I have a pre set up house with all lighting done and it has been working fine but in those renders I had to redo it acted like I had no lights at all on some renders and blinding light on others.
I have also been dealing with RL issues. my oldest daughters car is sitting outside now torn apart for a leaking coolant hose and my youngest has been getting sick. Turns out my youngest has covid. We have all had that stupid shot yet she still got the fucking thing anyway. So between my own hospital visits I have been taking her as well now. Luckily her work is giving her paid sick leave as without her help bills would pile up.
Today I am working on editing those 90 renders in photoshop to get them ready to be scripted in. I have also split the script for Severed Realms into two files. This leave the currently completed script on its own and will not have to be edited or prepatched every time I post a update here or on the forums later. I just have to drop in the unpatched files for "other" places. Once I get these images edited I will again start scripting in the images and writing the scenes. Mind you the current renders are roughly half or less of the next update so it will still take some time before the first full release of the game is done but it is moving along. just moving a bit slow at the moment with everything going on in my RL. I personally had to change grandmas face....... I cringed every time I had to look at the original one and knew others would as well. She still looks like a woman in her 50s but just no where near as ugly lol.
I have also been asked by a few about Nobody Knows progress. It is on hold for the moment. Severed as I have said before will come first. This would only change if when I do release it more supporters are drawn in from it. If that starts happening I will put out a poll to see which game should take prominence during updates but for now Severed is and will remain the main game and come first.

I.e. the track loops and doesnt stop playing till you get past the prologue. If it sounds like more then one is playing thats on renpy and I noticed if a person clicks to fast to try and jump through screens is bugs out... not much I can do if the player is clicking through the screens to fast.

I assume I'm not nearly as experienced as you are in Ren'Py, but I do notice with the code you've got there that the splash screen is using the sound channel while the start2 label is trying to fade out the music channel. Those channels are independent of one another, so fading out a channel that has yet to play anything (i.e., the music channel) doesn't stop the other channel (i.e., sound) from playing. That said, because you aren't looping the sound channel's music, it will eventually end on its own.

I assume I'm not nearly as experienced as you are in Ren'Py, but I do notice with the code you've got there that the splash screen is using the sound channel while the start2 label is trying to fade out the music channel. I'm still trying to learn this as I go. I am alone on this doing all the coding rendering and story writing. so its a steep learning curve and I have had very little help and try not to bother anyone unless I get stuck with a error I can't fix myself.

No problem. Hopefully what I suggested can work; I myself had to learn the difference in channels for sound, so I definitely understand that not being clear to a newer developer. I don't really have time to go through entire pages of code or anything, but I noticed that observation from others here, so I thought I'd take a few minutes to see what had happened. It's an assumption, and I definitely could be wrong.

Small update on Severed Realms,
Sorry I am a little off on posting. I have not been at my pc much due to my back issues not letting me sit here for long. I am slowly getting through the completed renders and I hope by this time tomorrow I will have most of them scripted into the game. so far I have 541 lines done and I have cut the renders folder down to 66 from just under 100 not including the 5 animation files. As for renders the above amount is less then half of the total needed for the remaining part of part 1. Most of this last week has been spent laying on the floor or couch. Now I am feeling a bit better I can sit longer in my office and try to get something done finally. What ever ya all do for a living I hope its not something that can mess up you spine cause this shit sucks. Below is one of the future characters coming in part 2. More on her can be found in the supporters section in discord.

They can be used anywhere and not just in a sexual context. I once watch a prick berate and humiliate his girl/wife in a store because she asked a simple question. I wanted to drive his teeth down his throat. The throne room scene is the same concept. It doesn't have to be sexual and was used to force Lily to her knees stare at the floor and be silent.

On another note. I see someone has posted a few things from either my pateron or SS pages. If the bank isnt playing around I should have some money tomorrow and I hope the card I have been looking at is still available. It's not cheap and with my current set up Im going to have to be creative when placing the cooler for it but I should have the room on the bottom of my case. I cant put it on top since I already have a triple radiator there for my cpu lol.

Got to also remember not all tags are spelled out correctly in terms of meaning. Prime example is the 3 letter word tag. There are games that have it because someone cried its in the game yet its not and there have been a rash of games coming out that are so 3 letter word your literally slapped across the face with it yet they do not have the tag and get away with it.
