OK, so it was a bug then. That's good to know, because I was starting to go a little crazy, trying to figure out what I was supposed to do next, lol. Anyway, watching a scene in the gallery and then redoing the lesson one last time fixed the issue, and the diary progressed. Thanks for taking the time to help me troubleshoot the problem. Cheers!

Did you watch the 'spanking' scene in the gallery? I think that's where the bug occurs.
How to trigger change to a pet route? I was in a servant, and she asked me what else she can do. Was there supposed to be a new diary entry, which didn't appear for some reason, or I am missing something?

Raise her confidence above 90 then ask her if she enjoys cleaning. This will begin the pet route and open up a new diary section.

Best way to find the cheats is to use
You must be registered to see the links
to activate the console and dev menu then search through the variables. moneyPlayer = x
I haven't unlocked the "spanking" scene yet. The scenes I'd unlocked when I hit the bug were the "cleaning" and "upskirt success" scenes from the servant path, the "goodnight" scene from the pet path, and the "cabin" scene on the winter path. I think I had watched the goodnight and cabin scenes in the gallery before I encountered the bug, but to be honest, I'm not sure if I had watched them both, or if it was only one of them and I'm remembering it wrong. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I hope that helps.

I don't think the game is too "grindy", once you figure out what stats you need to work on, it's a cakewalk. Anyway, here's a save at the end of the Servant "Quest" line. If you want to make her a Slave, goto the bookstore and buy the book, and continue to drive her confidence stats down, insult her when she's cleaning and when you talk to her. If you want to make her pet, start being nice to her, kiss her, and tell her sexy stories. You can follow the walkthrough I posted should be easy enough.

People seem to have up the 'too grindy' complaints recently. I'm going to do a full patron past about this soon but I thought I'd say a few things here before I have to start getting ready for work.
The complaints all say 'too grindy' but I think what they really mean is that the grind is too mundane, too boring. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think many were saying BB was incredibly grindy, but to progress you had to re-watch sex scenes a bunch of times, so many times that they become boring, even the really great ones, imo. Whereas with ShF you have to compliment Sarah or whatever. I'm not saying it's not grindy btw. In 0.07 comes the school and the randomness of homework (by far the best way to improve Sarah's confidence) is no longer random unless you want it to be. In future I'll add nightly molestation. This will mean that improving Sarah's lust is far easier and more fun. Other additions will come to help improve her happiness too.
The point is, the grind people are complaining about it a complaint about lack of non-scene content. There are balance tweaks I need to do and revisions to things like the diary to aid progression, but the main issue, imo, is that the grind hasn't enough variety and is potentially too long. Just complimenting Sarah over and over is boring, I get that.
Final point, if you're complaining about the cafe job being grindy, look outside. You go wait tables all day and do prep work, then tell me work isn't grindy. I wish I could select cup-cake colours all day. It's not difficult, it's simple and it doesn't take too long. I'm happy with it - besides from the lack of customers of course.

@Ellaraia While I can only "sort of" agree with you, I think one reason people think it's too "grindy" is that they don't understand which stat is affected by your actions. ie you want to drive her confidence down, but then you study with her and that adds points. I think that there are a lot of people just want "click porn" not a game where you have to figure things out. They're the people who want a walkthrough so they don't have to think, just click and watch the scenes... I mean imho the game isn't hard, you have a limited amount of actions with her, each action changes a stat +/- x points. Easy enough, however figuring out what stats need to be "where" is a bit grey to some. I've played this since your OP and had that much figured out long ago and Loved your concept and the way you had things laid out and your projections of how the game would work(I think your changes have been really good for the game!). I personally just figured that there was a Dominate route and a Love route, simple, Dominate = drive stats down, Love = drive stats up... Pretty intuitive if you ask me. I guess I'm saying this: If people knew what the target stat needed to achieve X they wouldn't see it as "grindy" since they would know exactly what they have to do and how long they need to do it. I think I even finished the "slave" route in 40 some days, which really isn't grindy at all(I spent more time, passing time than anything else), I did "cheat" though, I read your scripts and just drove to them. Over all I think you've done a Great job so far, I would try to change as little as possible, maybe add stat/action explanations and goals to the Diary and maybe to the choices on menus like: Watch a Romantic Movie (+10 lust). I think small changes like that would have a large impact on perceptions and less of a development hit. I also think increasing the number of activities available when she is in school would help as well. Also depending on the path you choose(currently) can increase interactions with her and decrease them on other paths, so yea, need some balance there. ie, when she is lounging(laying down on the couch) you can only talk to her unless she's a "pet" or a "fuck buddy" then you can kiss her, but getting to that level takes a few weeks. Just my opinions based on 30yrs as a QA Manager/Software Design Engineer, enjoying my retirement

Hmm... I may add (+lust) to the interactions. I want to have interactions chosen with a set of buttons rather than the renpy system but I want to be more certain about my final set of interactions before doing this. I don't think the game is really grindy - I just have no idea what to do in it! From what I've been reading in the thread, in order to achieve a particular route, you have to keep some stats down & others up? Errr... to me, that's counter intuitive when playing a game. I try to raise all the stats in every game I play but in this game, my MC gets nothin'!! No love, no sex, nothing...
Each time I go to where she is, there are no other options but to leave & go to another room. That's the only part of the game I find annoying. If there was some sort of 'quest' or 'route' manager or stats window with hints what to do, that would help the enjoyment (well - my enjoyment at least!) of the game IMO.

Someone hasn't watched the tutorial. The diary is a quest-log of sorts. It's the book icon at the top of the screen.I don't think the game is really grindy - I just have no idea what to do in it! Whether you raise or lower stats depends on what path you're taking. If you're on the fuck buddy or pet paths, then just raise them. The only path that this isn't the case is the slave path where you have to lower her confidence to unlock it, but you still want her lust to be high.
And a few tips to aid progression. Buy the non-general gifts and ask every question you can.

Nope... I'm so used to just leaping in to a game & getting started, I never even think about the tute's!
