Does anyone know how close this game is to completion? Don't get me wrong, I think this game is great, but it becomes overwhelming with the amount of text, and I find myself having to reread the whole story over again, which is very time-consuming and I don't have that much time on my hands.
From the discord discussions, The end is may be coming close with things being wrapped up at least main plot wise by maybe 0.22.

It a shame the walkthrough mod got abandoned for this game. The official walkthrough is great, but it's easy to get lost because there's so many paths and text.

It's close. I'm already wrapping some of the paths, and v0.21 will start with the important turning point which will essentially set the finish line for your Blake.
Oh does anyone know if there will be a route for Reese?

I really like that character.
There's no route for Reese, and she will not move to Deliverance, essentially disappearing from the game, but you will still be able to get her events from time to time.
Why hasn't the full png been updated yet, it can't be for keeping the file size under a certain size, that ship sailed a long time ago, if it's so the updates can be kept as small downloads, I'd at least like the option for a full current version png download, the plan can't be to keep adding more and more patches to the list until the game is completed, right? 0.20 is a nice number to add a new full png download, only keeping the 0.19 to 0.20 patch for those who kept up with the updates, and follow that pattern every 5 updates.
This is a fair point, and if I could, I would still be making full builds. Unfortunately, last year I had a major technical issue, after which my PNG project in RenPy simply stopped working. I tried asking for solution on the forum, but didn't get an answer. It just doesn't work, and nothing fixes it. Which means that I can still add things through patches, but I can't actually package the project into a full build.
I wonder why the dev refuses to make a gallery for this game. Most people will never see half of the scenes because keeping 10s of different saves is impossible. Nobody has that much time.
Also no modder will care about making a gallery mod for this game because this game has some of the least popular tags/genres.
I do not refuse to make it, I simply don't know how, and learning this, as well as implementing the gallery itself, will take away a whole lot of time from me. A couple of modders actually tried to make their own galleries, but gave up after a month or so without visible progress. What makes you think I'd be able to do it faster and more effective?
You are probably in the 0.1% of the players who have more than 10 different route saves, which would be ignored in statistics. Are you actually playing all those routes when a new update arrives?
Well, as this game's developer, I have a bit more of a comprehensive statistic, and from my experience most players go through at least two routes.

I was on Bree route, but somehow I switched to Suya's route and stop getting Bree scenes? Does anyone know why?

Oh sweet baby jebus, You're on a forum for a porn game. First of all you are the exception...not the rule. Most people arent gonna play through from the start multiple times, especially not one this long. Second, a gallery can show players routes they may have missed if they want to play all of the game. Its a helpful feature.......especially if the game is this long and the routes aren't extremely clear on where they split off. That's a lot of work no one is ever going to see if they dont know it exists. Third, no one has to do anything, it was a suggestion. Once again....porn game forum.

You need to download each following patch and install them one after the other, rewriting the earlier files.

No and no.
I don't think my game is up to Steam standards, and implementing animations twenty acts in would be pretty weird. I'd rather make twenty different static renders rather than one second long animation.

Thinking it might not sell well? eh, probably right. I am assuming this is what you meant by Steam standards? if not, sorry for misunderstanding. You will never know if you don't try.

Not weird. There was a game that was all static and a bit after it got completed, the Dev added animations. That's what I meant, if you planned to add animations after you finish the game. If not, that's fine.

A bit of what the Dev said for when he added the animations


"Well it's finally here, folks! The "Animation Update" is complete and adds 102 animated clips throughout the various scenes.

Most of these occur during the game's spicier content so there's plenty to discover across the 16 routes. As well, these animations can also be viewed under the game's replay section for content that you've already unlocked"

I’m talking about quality. Shattered is still, regardless of its size and age, a hobby project for me. And I’m much more comfortable in that niche instead of turning my game into a commercial product.
