It depends on which version you've already played.
If you haven't played any previous patches -- go for it now, as the game is filled with pretty much content.
Otherwise, you could wait several months for 0.50 (as the dev updates the game regularly but in small chunks, e.g., 0.491, 0.492, etc).

The link is totally dead for me sadly.
Mixdrop uses a lot of servers in russia and for me those are banned.
Could you maybe drop the .zip here in a post?
