It doesn't even have to be about being attracted to said male. I am a heterosexual male and I still prefer to see an attractive male in a scenario versus one that is ugly. As someone who cares about staying active and taking care of one's body I can also appreciate when someone (no matter their gender) has put in hard work to achieve a certain physique, so naturally my tastes carry on to fiction. It also seems unrealistic (yes I know it's a fantasy world) when one character is way less attractive than the other."You're a straight woman or gay dude who want some nice(er) male goblins to look at? Fuck you, go look at some art instead."
Since when are characters restricted to their stereotypes? A character can be whatever the hell the author wants them to be, regardless of race and gender. The problem is most authors are too lazy to deviate from the stereotype that come with male monsters... ugly, dumb, rapist assholes. What if I want some hot male monsters in a game and not just be limited to rule34 forums or gay titles? Then what? Is it so outlandish to ask for a little more variety?
Overall, everyone has their own tastes when it comes to what they want to see but I do agree that it would be cool to see games with more attractive characters for all users.
