Is it now? He showed up at that PAM Party and at the brothel, both seemed out of character unless he is playing his role. The later part where he just stays to watch is especially weird for what we know about him so far. With the other shoe dropped by the private detective, it seems almost all of the people close to Laura play a part in this, which is either brilliant or completly overkill, take your pick. It seems Oliver, her father and Janette are part of the conspiracy.
We know why her father doesn't have a past -- he was given a new identity after the events surrounding BB's uncle, so I'm willing to bet that he's on the level. But yes, Oliver does seem like a plant, which just raises more questions. Why would anyone bother doing this much leg work to trap Laura? Unless they're doing it specifically to destroy her father's spirit before the kill him, which...I dunno, a bullet is cheaper. I just hope it doesn't get much wackier than it is, because it's already at the edge of my comfortable zone of suspension of disbelief. LOL
Afaik renpy doesn't handle that well, my sugestion is to save the frame before the Animations
Maybe Laura's real name is Elizabeth, like the girl she sometimes dreams about at night. There is no biography of Laura, her father and Olivier. Maybe it was a deliberate fugitive to protect them from the vengeance of the past? But protection failed because Lura fell into the hands of her father's enemies?
Exactly She is Elizabeth, It was hinted at the begining of the Game, And BB revealed it in his convos with his mother and cousin

That would also imply that Oliver is not in on the plot, because he knows her father well.
