Stable state stores in your "persistent" file.
I suggest you to use "clear safe state" button after transfer to get the weight out of persistent file.
"Save/Load" screen was updated and here are examples how to use it:
Save the state of your old game while free roaming (the game wouldn't allow you to do otherwice)
Load the game with new version (same or greater)
So, you need v0.63.3 and make a save then you should be able to load your saves.
If you didn't play v0.63.x your saves "should" be fine.

Overview:
It's a game about a young guy living together with a small Commune of Mother superior, holy Father and two novice Sisters (none blood related). One day his happy life was over when Father was arrested for financial thievery and your Commune has to start once over from the bottom. And the bottom is 2 rooms in a shady motel - the only place they could afford.
Now our protagonist has become the man of the Commune and it's only for you to decide what kind of life he'll be living from now on. Minding that now he has to share a room or a bed with one of the women.

This game is so confusing. I don’t know what to do. How can I increase my relationship with the characters and unlock events? The walkthroughs are very complicated. Can someone please help me understand how to unlock new events and get the characters’ intimate scenes?

guys help me - try everything and nothing -- download vers 063.3 save stable first day - open vers 0.64 open save stable its ok but when i try to open my old save in 0.64 fatal error -- and its a long jorney to day 1 to last vers 063.3

You can use the old method, once you transfered from v0.63.x, because it's renpy version downgrade. Renry 8 turned out to have sudden crushes with existing code.
It also will help to load your game without previous mods, if you decide to exclude them
