The game looks beautiful. Clearly a lot of time and effort went into it. I just wish the H scenes were actually related to the story and not just random scenes you can unlock (adds some context to the situation). Still playing through it, but I have to wonder how long it will take until the game is actually completed?

I just played, so far it's the most disappointing game of 2021 at least for me, the sex scenes look like high quality gifs in an infinite loop of 5s, so far I've only had 2 scenes playing the story mode and as far as I understand the scenes are separate in PANDORA and has forced NTR content, if I were a Kickstarter donator I would definitely be frustrated.

People seem to gobble up a lot of shit and then keep mull on it without even check if there is any actual facts or truth behind it.

Imagine trying to defend misinforming people. We can make mistakes but doubling down on your bullshit? If you don't know something, don't try to present it as fact.
I mean we all do that? We wok in such environment not other. Do i need do attach to all my post line "It is what i heard" or something? There is really a pinch of real facts that can be confirmed and aren't make to believe here, but thread got to 150+ pages. So give me some slack?
Exactly this. Having take up most of the time with endless conversations that are basically talking heads only with animated 3D models but no mouth movement at all just looks bad.
It doesn't have to be perfect lipsync, but at least some movement should have been there, even a lot of cheap 2D VNs usually manage that just fine.

Yeah but those sex scenes in other games are much better cuz they are integrated into the story and have some context. I dont really care what other mechanics are there in porn game. If porn is rubbish then game fails as porn game. They should spend less money on voice acting and gameplay and spend more on actual sex. Game with no sound and animations still could be a great porn game. Game with no good sex scenes can't.
You know, voice acting in this game is like buying a bunch of wristwatches for 5 bucks each and then coating them in gold to sell for 50.

Ya, even simpler VN games without VA, but that have proper, narrative-driven sex scenes like "Being A DIK"or "City of Broken Dreamers" as well-known examples, have far better adult content than Subverse because of the narrative integration.
Some "golden" scenes should be rewards for secondary quests.
Like that sex machin scene with lily should be for collecting that machine from pirates or fuccbots, and with dialogs of lily suggesting capitan to supervise test run.
Same goes to scenes with manticores, they should be attainable thru manticore leveling.

there are 2 games i hold in high regard because they used the porn element for story segregation in a good sense while keeping a degree of aceptable quality for the scenes
thug hero party | dark hero party depending of the translation you pick, its a heavy NTR game where you see umos, the main character, losing his village, her friends and girlfriend, and living trought a hell because somebody stronger that him decided to do so. During your game, the game give you hope just to crush it after. I don't like NTR yet i like this because how they used the scenes to justify what came after
pronant symphony main theme is brainwashing, you brainwashed 4 adventures to submit your will and head to the pandemonium to kill istaroth, somebody you have a bone to pick up. What i found neat is the game never suggest you to use the brainwashing for bad or good things. Julius the main character has a past but is not releaved early on to not biase the player to side in either side of the spectrum
being a good guy prevents you to unlock 99% of the scenes but given the past of julius, by granting the chance he aspired to be something better of what he is, or at least his narrative of the story, being the bad guy raping people at your wish is what get the scenes given the past of julius, he is spoiling himself in pleasures before he dies for good
turn based combat with a twist to mind: the field effect, you may have killed the same guy 100 times in row but if you manipulate the field effect to the enemy advantage due mistake or ignorance, expect to be killed (probably). You not only die if your hp hits 0, so does if your mp hits 0.
and for having static CG, censored, and no voice, it also felt like a game for me to invest 15 hours on it
shield yourself all your want in the cinematic experience, in the voice acting or the diferent elements in your game, is not the whole part is just a piece of the whole product that determinate if the game is good or bad. I cannot personally judge subverse due my computer not metting the requirements to run it. I just learned about studioFOW when this was posted here!. But looking the comments here, the videos, the scenes... i expected more for what they advertised in their kickstarter, i believe this is a common mistake in developers when they go more ambitious of what they can manage. I really hope subverse becomes a proper porn game for everbody to enjoy

Well, I mean the majority of the budget went to hiring professional voice actors. What was left over was only enough to cover cheap animation which explains the loops.
