You flatter me UwUNobody's stalking you, you've just made a reputation for yourself here too. Time to reap what you've been sowing
Wow that dev log...ouch. Where do you start...basically there's no point to even playing the EA versions anymore since the saves will get wiped before the final version and you'll just have to play the game again from scratch.snipping to shorten
Yeah, everytime I think it can't be any worse, SFOW proves that I underestimate their ability to fuck things up...Oh man, this project is the gift that keep on giving, just not in the way you expect it to. Haven't posted here in a long time, but after seeing how retarded this latest dev log was I just couldn't resist.
So basically, all those devotion scenes FOW have been hyping up for the past several years. the ones they said would blow all the stuff in Pandora out of the water, the ones they said would be similar in quality to their previous movies, the ones they asked their backers to wait for before judging the adult content, etc, etc...will now be inaccessible to those very same backers
Let's look at some of the highest rated feedback in the comments on Steam, shall we?

Sorry for the screenshot spam, but this stuff is just too funny to miss. What happened to FOW, man? They used to be at the top of the adult animation industry, and look at them now. At this point, I think I'll do exactly what the devs don't want me to do and just wait for the complete scenes to be uploaded online once v1.0 is released...supposedly next year lol. As those people on Steam have mentioned, there is absolutely no point in playing Subverse from now until the release, so might as well just sit back and watch how this unfolds in the next year.
But my comment wasn't about that. It's like saying "it feels like if this game doesn't have any sex in it" You see how pointless that "opinion" is when it's obvious that it clearly does have sex in it.
yes a game that revolves around porn. Many games don't do either right, so they wanted to break that sigma by delivering a playable game without hurting the porn quality and blending it with comedy. Still don't see how Witcher ties in. It's the gameplay, theme, story, art, are all different. The only thing they share is the genre of being an RPG.But my comment wasn't about that.
I was talking about how FOW treats Subverse as "a game with porn" than "a porn game" and how most people treat it like the latter. They wanted to take it in the former direction, but most people just bought it for the porn, not for the gameplay.
As for the misinformation, I did talk about any false points. FOW said they wanted to make an "actual game".
If that was the goal of the developers, then they failed.yes a game that revolves around porn. Good for uIf that was the goal of the developers, then they failed.
For me its a bad game and a bad porn game.
Well that’s subjective, so that’s your opinion. But given the game isn’t finished yet and it’s holding at mostly positive on steam with thousands of reviews, I’d say yours is in the minority at this point. If that was the goal of the developers, then they failed.

I hope that's not counting the review bombing it got over the chinese translation kerfuffle.View attachment 2903442
54% positive on steamdb (10,252 positive and 8,718 negative) and on this site a 2.9/5.
With this kind of rating, nah it's not a good game. When so many people have given it a bad rating/review.
When you are wondering why it is different.
But to make it quick. Steam Store doesn't count reviews from people who activated keys, it only counts the review from people that bought it on steam.

Case in point, what is the need to endlessly argue about something when it isn't even in its final form yet. The biggest thing people seem irritated by is the save wiping, but that isn't a new thing for early access. Baldur's Gate 3 did that as well, and I'm sure there are plenty others.I will say I don't agree with HentaiCut, but considering they started their statement with, "For me..." what follows was always going to be a subjective opinion. Don't know why you need to point that obvious fact out like your the Dude.

Vvalen is right however, that ~50% rating is tainted due to the China review bombs making very unreliable as far as gauging overall popular sentiment, that whole situation was out of FOW's control anyway.
But I would say it's inherently flawed to appeal to popularity in either case. Thousands of reviews are just a collection of subjective opinions regardless of which direction they happen to swing, good or bad.
Considering how many systems they’re going to be changing, let alone all the contextual things they’re adding to all the planets that have just been placeholders “you found ___ TEK/BIO”, it’s gonna be significantly different that an old save just wouldn’t work.I agree as on the save-wiping, it's standard fair from what I've seen of other games in development, two other examples I've seen shared are Star-Citizen and Escape from Tarkov. I don't think the save wipes are as much a choice they arbitrarily made, as much as just the consequence of a game being in active development, and data under the hood that the saves from older versions might rely on could be altered or removed entirely by the time they reach the end of development.
"REEEEE, WHY AREN'T YOU RELEASING THE FULL EXPERIENCE IN EARLY ACCESS?!" is all I'm reading out of this one. This is like bitching why the Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access didn't have the full experience.

How is it the full game? They don't even have the full cast yet. At the start you only had 2 characters, how was that a full game? Even now they still need the devotion quests for each which play a big role in the game. Just like the Romance in Baldur's Gate. The whole game revolves around the "waifus", they are part of both the game side and the porn side. So no its not a "full game". For example in patch 0.4.0 they stated:BG3's early access was an early access build of the game for testing
Subverse's Early Access is pretty much the full game with updates as more content has been added. They've been adding full content until now, it's just really dumb that for this one instance they are withholding it, and it more sounds like cope that the cinematics themselves are actually unfinished and won't be until the 1.0 release.
How is it the full game when the main story isn't finished? You have a very fucking weird definition going on, mate.BG3's early access was an early access build of the game for testing

The story content is the full game, as I doubt any cinematics there will be altered, as much work has gone into them. How is it the full game when the main story isn't finished? You have a very fucking weird definition going on, mate.
That just kinda proves its not a full game, they wouldn't debate their plans if it was the full game. They realised that the devotion missions are part of the whole "RPG" aspect of the game, which its labeled as. You even used the phrase "complete a package as possible" aka "full game".The story content is the full game, as I doubt any cinematics there will be altered, as much work has gone into them.
That said, the devotion missions are considered optional content. Heck before all this drama, there were initial plans to add the devotion missions after the story was complete. But they changed their minds, and are choosing to get everything done now to deliver as complete a package as possible.
But yet people still want to complain because they’re holding the best til the end.
