after playing around for a while it seems like the xeno scenes aren't actually happening. like I thought I would play the game and new scenes would happen. maybe I lose a battle and a girl gets fucked, but so far it's "talk to a girl and unlock new sex scenes from time to time". the NTR/Xeno ones are just there as an extra I guess? not part of the story? there are no scenes where a girl is just sitting in her room, and suddenly one of the monsters comes in and she's like "oh shit here we go again".

There are no bad endings or non-con content in this game. The xeno scenes in pandora are consensual.

but they don't fit anywhere, it's just a short wip video that is unlocked but there is nothing before and after it in the story itself. that's why I was asking.

There's gonna be 40 scenes per gal, so 400 scenes is a bit much to expect to be integrated into the story. Also not everyone even wants to see the xeno scenes, which is why the only ones shown in the story are the recruitment ones when they officially join the team, quest-related ones (Ela's porno shoot), and later the devotion climax scenes.

sounds like a cop out in order to be able to use steam. at any rate with that amount of money people were sure the game would be filled with a lot more sex content. but they basically went full on the game Development. what works for them I suppose, if people really wanted more they would just argue for it.

Even if they’re short, multiplied by 400, and that’s still a lot of content. And they haven’t even added the devotion missions yet, which will end with cinematics for each gal that’ll be several minutes long each. Times ten, that’s another 30-40 minutes we’ll be seeing in the future. Dunno how much more you could expect at this point.

New DD:

And they were nice enough to include their own TLDR :p

So they’re gonna start adding the devotion quests next month, buuut they won’t be including the end cinematics for them (stated to be 4+ minutes, so that’s 40+ minutes of not a loop :p ) until the game is finished at 1.0

The main chunk of the dev blog post I find disappointing.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't regret my purchasing the early access release on steam over two years ago. If they didn't want the game's sex scenes to leak online, then they should have never done an early access release in the first place. But now they want to, "save the players' from themselves" and hold back early access they already paid for.
Well, as people love to talk about here, those scenes don't really carry much weight as they're pretty much the boning they crew does inbetween the story. This on the other hand are lovemaking scenes, built up over hours of spending time with the characters.

So I think its fair to say they don't want that particular bit of story to be out there so someone can just fap to it with no context (which again is what many people have been pining for for so long)

That hardly seems like a reasonable justification to purposefully hold back content that people have actually already paid the early access to play. One of the only reasons apart from blind fandom anyone could use to justify paying for early access would be to play through and gain access to these scenes before the 1.0 release, but because the devs are worried about the scenes getting leaked online, something that they invited themselves by doing early access, everyone who already has paid can just get stuffed and wait with everyone who won't pay for early access.

Pay us for early access, but we are going to hold back content that you paid for already. That's not reasonable, it's a case of having their cake and eating it.
You don't buy into early access just cuz you want to play it first, you are essentially a tester. That's why I'm not stressed about them inevitably filling out the rest of the Pandora scenes. The smut is not something we need to see to give feedback for. The difficulty of the mission, are any dialogue scenes broken, does a cinematic skip when it shouldn't, does grid combat break at any point. They're holding this back because this is the pinnacle of the relationship you build with these characters, and it would not feel right if they were just experienced in an incomplete game. Remember these will be cinematics, meaning they'll likely be in 4k, would you really feel satisfied with some reuploaded and lesser quality versions popping out immediately and garnering attention instead?

Whoever's idea it was to have subtitles take up 1/4 of the screen during the Bukkake mission needs to be executed. Pretty hard to dodge when you can't see shit.

I felt like they were talking to me for recording and leaking Pandora, but I really fell it is the weakest point because I can't watch more than 5 scenes in a row. However, I agree with saving the full scenes for 1.0 so the game will fell bigger with all of the devotion escenes (that eventually will get leaked anyways)

It looks really bad to release devotion questlines but to wait before releasing their final rewards A. K. A their cinematics.

What's the point to complete these quests when the next update is made available if you have to come back later, so when the 1.0 is released to watch them?

To test them of course. This is still an early access game remember. Or would you prefer we have another scenario like that Blythe ship battle that is complained about, but not altered before its final version?

Guess we will see if it's worth the wait in a year, but I've heard that time frame before.

That was posted 29 months ago. :KEK:
They also had initial plans of early access in weekly iterations. Then changed to doing the entire game at once, then pivoted to doing large sections of the game at a time when enough feedback came in.

Plans change. And that’s without factoring in a pandemic.
