This already looks like the Cyberpunk 2077 forum, but with sexual themes
There's a balancing act in place, games that really rely on humor can be just as divisive dark edgy games for opposite reason. Not everyone want humor all of the time, just as some don't want edge all of the time. This is more so for Subverse, sexual humor won't land for some, some types of fetishes will turn people off.I don't have a problem with the Captain.
Far too many porn games try to make the setting, characters, and narrative, some super serious melodrama affair. Which in turn just makes it impossible to care about any of them because of how stupid it all is. Pretty much all of these VN games using DAZ assets suffer from this immensely. Seeds of Chaos suffering from this in spades. Its impossible to care about anyone in that game because of just how DUMB it is in its attempt to be overly serious, which it doesn't do well.
On the other hand I enjoy Subverse, and its characters, because its not that. Its a lot of the same reason I enjoyed Evenicle. Evenicle has serious moments in it, like the few rape bits, but overall its an incredibly light hearted game, that doesn't take itself too seriously, all the characters are just enjoyable to be around, and a lot of the sex is just fun sex for the sake of sex. Its very self aware, breaks the 4th wall numerous times, and is generally comedic. And the main character, Aster, just revels in it. His whole motivation in the game is that he wants to marry his(adoptive) sisters, and doesn't like seeing girls harmed. He doesn't even REALLY care about being a hero, or saving the world, or anything like that. He just kinda get rolled into it in the process of wanting to get the ability to marry more girls.
There are no mission fail scenes with NTR in them. There are no mission fail scenes at all. If you fail you get replay the mission, or leave it. There is also no ability to wrong click to get an NTR scene either.Oof i rather watch the H clips without context than playing the game knowing that any mission fails or wrong click could lead me to watch "so-called avoidable" ntr scenes
Sure, but not every game is meant to appeal to everyone. And the humor of Subverse does get balanced out by the fact they freuqently mention how the Imperium has literally glassed entire worlds, and brought entire species to, or near, extinction, as part of their crusade to bring purity to the galaxy. Its not all just dick jokes, and 4th wall breaking. They are starting a rebellion becuase the setting is actually kinda horrible for them. There's a balancing act in place, games that really rely on humor can be just as divisive dark edgy games for opposite reason. I've heard turning off Vysnc in the options, and turning down the post processing effects setting, has fixed it for some.Anyone know how to fix the stuttery/laggy cutscene?
Pandora serves as a gallery and source of most of the scenes, you'll see very few through the story itselfAt the moment can you rewatch old scene? or is there a gallery?
Unfortunately, it ain't workin'I've heard turning off Vysnc in the options, and turning down the post processing effects setting, has fixed it for some.
I did, and I feelt like I'm playing flashgame on newgrounds form 10 years ago. You could find better thought through games here and with percentage of budget of this thing.Guys just need to stop jumping on the hype train and setting their expectations so high. The game is actually pretty enjoyable if you take it as it is and have no real expectations for it.
Thats an exaggeration and you know it.I did, and I feelt like I'm playing flashgame on newgrounds form 10 years ago. You could find better thought through games here and with percentage of budget of this thing.
Not really, as I can't give you example of good flash games from 10 years ago, I did not write that they were good but on other hand i can give you examples of pron games with actuall good gameplay as old as those. On top of my mind, segoku rance, lula sexy empire and ect. And I'm quiet sure they were ran on lower budget as this.Thats an exaggeration and you know it.
You are aware that FOW themselves only made the animations for this game, and did things like the UI art, and the game parts were made by a person they brought on specifically for this project that had experience with making games in unreal engine? The game you want doesn't exist but I can tell you how it could: If, instead of trying to do everything themselves, Studio FOW teamed up with an experienced game developer to create something grand. Let the veteran game designer work out the mechanics, the open world, the character customization, dialog and plot... and let Studio FOW make great animations to go with it.
But they were also a lot smaller in scope and generally lesser in the presentation department. Also the budget isn't as big as everyone says. $2 million only sounds like a lot of money, but as far as game development is concerned, its not. Have better games been made for less? Yes. Were they generally simpler and less ambitious? Also yes.Not really, as I can't give you example of good flash games from 10, I did not write that they were good but on other hand i can give you examples of pron games with actuall good gameplay as old as those. Maybe Subverse was ambitious but they not ever close to be called complex. This 2 games what I reccalled had more complexity in each stage (yes they had multiple stages with different gameplay!) than this abomination of a game. But they were also a lot smaller in scope and generally lesser in the presentation department. Why am I even arguing with you? If you don't like the game that's your problem, quit trying to make it mine too.Maybe Subverse was ambitious but they not ever close to be called complex. I'm not arguing, you insist that his thing is something grand and complex, you were one writting that other games were simpler and that lands far from truth. It looks like you want to convince yourself or you just lack or experience with other games. Why am I even arguing with you?
