That hardly seems like a reasonable justification to purposefully hold back content that people have actually already paid the early access to play. One of the only reasons apart from blind fandom anyone could use to justify paying for early access would be to play through and gain access to these scenes before the 1.0 release, but because the devs are worried about the scenes getting leaked online, something that they invited themselves by doing early access, everyone who already has paid can just get stuffed and wait with everyone who won't pay for early access.

Pay us for early access, but we are going to hold back content that you paid for already. That's not reasonable, it's a case of having their cake and eating it.
You don't buy into early access just cuz you want to play it first, you are essentially a tester. That's why I'm not stressed about them inevitably filling out the rest of the Pandora scenes. The smut is not something we need to see to give feedback for. The difficulty of the mission, are any dialogue scenes broken, does a cinematic skip when it shouldn't, does grid combat break at any point. They're holding this back because this is the pinnacle of the relationship you build with these characters, and it would not feel right if they were just experienced in an incomplete game. Remember these will be cinematics, meaning they'll likely be in 4k, would you really feel satisfied with some reuploaded and lesser quality versions popping out immediately and garnering attention instead?

Whoever's idea it was to have subtitles take up 1/4 of the screen during the Bukkake mission needs to be executed. Pretty hard to dodge when you can't see shit.

I felt like they were talking to me for recording and leaking Pandora, but I really fell it is the weakest point because I can't watch more than 5 scenes in a row. However, I agree with saving the full scenes for 1.0 so the game will fell bigger with all of the devotion escenes (that eventually will get leaked anyways)

It looks really bad to release devotion questlines but to wait before releasing their final rewards A. K. A their cinematics.

What's the point to complete these quests when the next update is made available if you have to come back later, so when the 1.0 is released to watch them?

To test them of course. This is still an early access game remember. Or would you prefer we have another scenario like that Blythe ship battle that is complained about, but not altered before its final version?

Guess we will see if it's worth the wait in a year, but I've heard that time frame before.

That was posted 29 months ago. :KEK:
They also had initial plans of early access in weekly iterations. Then changed to doing the entire game at once, then pivoted to doing large sections of the game at a time when enough feedback came in.

Plans change. And that’s without factoring in a pandemic.

So we know that
Before 1.0 save files will be wiped
The reward for the devotion quest mission will be 4+ minute sex scene (I was expecting 10+ and not 4+ what a shame)
The next major content update will be launching at the end of September
The highly controversial Studio 69 DLC nightclub event will lunch with 1.0

10? Good grief man xD. 40+ minutes with 4k and 1080p videos is already gonna be a lot to download, and you expected 100?

Its always said several minutes, but I think 10 is a little high to dream. My own guess was like 2, 3 or 4 at best. Remember these are akin to ME romances which weren’t much more than a minute and change. This is basically what happens after the fade to black.

I see it different. They have gotten 1.668.626 £ on kickstarter + the sales on steam and gog. They have enough money. And the pandora scene are ok, but not really good.
The scenes are missing dirty talk.
I can only watch 5 scenes and then I need to switch again.
And much more problems with pandora.
The story is mediocre

I dont need to download this game on f95zone because I bought it on gog (thats why I dont care how big this game is or how big the animations are) with great anticipation, but I was disappointed.

For me the only good thing are the sex scenes that I have cut together.

Regarding Pandora that’s still open to change as far as scene picking and such goes. There’s been more dirty talk in more recent scenes (probably from user feedback, which is what EA is for).

And this is a tired argument, but the budget for the game is not something you just shove into the computer and it makes things faster. The money pays the people that are making it for going on 5 years now. They are not pulling additional income from anywhere besides selling the game (on that note congrats Star Citizen for having now raked in over 600 million in crowdfunding, being in development 10 years and still being in alpha), so they planned with what they had.

Then you have misunderstood me. I don’t mean that with the money they should speed up the development to bring this game out faster. This would be counterproductive. On the contrary I am hoping that they will make more animations from this game after they finished with the development.

I have no problem about the EA or that it takes so long.

I mean that I find it disappointed, that with so much money that the reward for the devotion quest mission is only 4+ min.
I was hoping for much more.

Because the only thing I like in this game are the characters and the animations. When I was cutting the sex scenes together that the scenes from the different characters are over 10 min and I don’t need to switch to different scenes in pandora. It is for me much more enjoyable.

I find the story and the combat mediocre.
I will most likely when they bring out another game not buy it.

In terms of animations, I doubt they’d establish their own IP and solely keep it within a game. It’s got plenty of fans on its own. So they could easily flex it between their parody films.

Story and combat opinions are subjective, so won’t bother arguing about it. But personally, I find it a lot more fulfilling than just another match-3 or rpgmaker clone type game. Or the number of Renpy engine games on this forum with similar looking ladies.

How they planned to iterate and develop the game over the course of a year has little to no bearing on overzealously setting a release window they overshot by a year already, and is looking like will be another year, at best, on top of that. You don't address the point of them going from a "minimum of 12 months" of overall development time to what will in all likely hood be well over 36 months when talking about whether they will do weekly updates, or updates every couple months.

Edit: How they plan to develop the game over time shouldn't make a difference on whether they set a reasonable release window date in the first place, that is only a description of how they reach that release window. Of course their mistake was putting that "minimum 12 months" up on the early access post in the first place, and the fact that it's still there 29 months later is a hilarious note in an of itself.

Also By March 26th 2021 the day this game went early access, whether they are based in the US or in the UK, I've found claims of them being based in both areas, the first vaccines were already available in both countries. So what bearing did the virus have a year after actual pandemic, when they had access to vaccines already by the time development began on the demo release in earnest?
The campaign was funded in 2019, early access began in 2021. There’s a lot of pandemic time in that. You wanna point out a date, I could just gesture at Cyberpunk 2077, which has vastly more resources and experienced staff, which had multiple dates and still released in less than ideal condition.

Things change, and they’re not always gonna be for the better. But they haven’t dropped the content, they just want to save the best for last, and I don’t think that’s a high ask.

Please find the quote in my posts where I referenced 2019. Because if you can't find it, then you are trying to shift the goalpost to combat an argument I never made, I specifically quoted the timeframe they gave AFTER they entered early access in 2021, not before back in 2019 with this image earlier pulled from their steam store page,
View attachment 2895859
At best, you could say the demo could have entered early access perhaps a year or so sooner because of the pandemic, but that has no bearing on the point that they gave an unrealistic development timeframe AFTER it entered early access in 2021, a year after the pandemic began when vaccines became available when they launched in early access.

To be clear, I don't even blame them for missing that window. I never really expected a year was long enough, game development is hard work. But it's something I keep in mind every time a studio gives a general release timeframe, I tend to take them all with a grain of salt.

I say it's a very unreasonably high ask to renege on the terms of the game's early access some time after the fact when they've already collected most of the benefits and have decided they shouldn't be subject to the consequences.
Can’t help but notice you’ve been using that image and not pointing at the part that says ‘minimum’. Not maximum. They projected to be in early access for at least a year.

Yes that is correct that it does say minimum, they've only overshot the minimum goal by how many extra months so far? 17? With at least 12 more to go at the minimum? So they are only going to triple that minimum time frame at best. :Kappa:

Again, I don't even have an issue with it taking as long as it has to, but it's still funny to note.

And I did correctly say it was at minimum 12 months in a previous post.
That was basically there to say ‘don’t expect this to be done in a year’ and given the first major update took 7 months due to extenuating circumstances, I’d say they were right to put that. Since then they’ve consistently dropped content every 3-4 months. I see no reason to doubt their work effort.

This is NOT a porn game, remember? Why are you comparing it to porn games? You should be telling us that you find it more fulfilling than X-COM or Fire Emblem!
It feels like the devs really wanted to make a game wherein their audience wouldn't be biased towards a genre (e.g. Porn) and create a Witcher "has sex but no one really cares" vibe; But their mistake is that they advertised it as such.
