Yea that might be on me cuz "No one showed up, the art teachers aren't there," did not come through at all or I straight do not remember that (Yet did remember the hotdogs and it did nothing plot wise for me). So far it's coming off as super porn tropey. Example is, if they are planning to lean into their horror tag. The pieces for that already needs to be part of the interaction with the cop and the hotdog fetch quest. Instead we just got lustful stares from everyone as part of the 'sexual tension.'

I love it. I feel like a piece of meat about to be torn apart by a pack of wild cats when I'm reading it. Everyone sizing the MC up in their own way, the sexy teacher noticing MC checking out all the cake on the way in, her sexy sister with the complete opposite personality, and MC's childhood friend noticing all of this and feeling like she should've shared how she's felt all these years. All of this intimated in the renders. I love trying to discern what they're thinking based on what I know about their personalities when I see them... how they flirt, how they act around the other girls... but then again, I was good at L.A. Noire so this is entertaining to me. Yes, the stares... rather than a wall of text every other render. I'll take it lol Reminds me of the great emoting and care put into Chasing Sunsets.

You my friend have a great imagination. Gorgeous girls eyeing me, the mc down. All for it. Tons of game do this exact thing. If this happens in real life, we'd already be fucking. Just not feeling it or seeing it the way you do. It comes off as superficial, without much nuance. Though my ongoing theory with the staring is Bree or Sophie is a serial killer.

The point is, we still don't know where the game is headed. Good, bad, nonesense, reasonable, no one knows, so what's with the sudden conclusion?

Correction on the writing. It's not 'bad'. Moreso just responding to the bad writing sentiment and can see where it's coming from. I think the writing is very very average to a lot of the works on the site. I'm 100% fine with tropes as long as that is what the dev wants as well. Original writing is a myth.

Litmus test for me:
Characters: If you completely remove how they look, can you explain them and have others instantly know who you are describing?
My first thoughts are the childhood shy friend and the goth chick. Can't describe the 'redhead' from her friend

Plot: If you were reading the VN without pictures, would you wanna keep reading? (With the core understanding, that yes you will miss some context without the images.)

I still give a ton of props for the effort the devs are putting in and the product. I just want the community to grow and improve each others view, cause the end results increases everyone's enjoyment.

Without images I could absolutely describe the insanity of miller or the eldrich terror of helen, even the professionalism of mike. U may has skill issue

Thing is BADIK is usually 2-3 hours long. Add that with already shit ton of branching paths and you have a huge ass game, while Summer Heat is probably not even 2 hours long in total yet.

I love them both but BADIK timefream with updates and playtime its still vastly superior.

one can only imagine, if the game continues, how long it will take when a proper branching starts, and if dev decides to go for "bigger" updates and slower development because of that

Same. I'm worried too for whats comming, and while I do trust the devs, its not going to get any easier down the line to develop what at least it seem like Northpx and Robison have in mind. So much attention to details is not viable in the long run unless the planned dev time yearly... and while I okay with that, makes my heart hurt thinking how much we have to wait for it.

But this game and the love (aka quality) the devs put into it deserves to have a beginning and an end, I have nothing but support to give and hope they make do.

OK, I believe you if you say you can see the future (I can't), but in that case don't use the present tense: "and already it has 7+ months update cycles."

yeah, you know it is hard to adjust sometimes, when one is a time-traveler.
so i forgot to put there a bit more explanation, something like "5 months now, and most probably, it will have 7+ months (if not more) when the next update drops".

also good for your having high hopes for this project...my hopes are a bit lower, not for game quality drops, yet updates frequencies...though nothing we didnt see already, in multiple occasions/games unfortunately.

The teachers left are panicking looking to keep them occupied ("working out") while they figure out how to change gears to accommodate what's left of the camp and its limited resources. I think the story is fine, it's just that players are expecting tropes that aren't materializing the way they expect them to.

You got it. Story is good. Maybe some click through story too fast then not understand why everything happens could be the problem.
