I don't expect the number of renders in the update to be any very large, but I'd really like a long update, so the usefulness of the renders should increase. 1 render can be enough for at least 5-8 lines of dialog

Exactly. The players wants to continue in the story. It's not necessary to have a render for each line in the plot. I understand why they do this but they shouldn't do it. The game feels extremely short. It's just the third ingame day and the first one was only a half day and the game ends actually at midday on Day 3. It feels like nothing goes forward. There're many players here talking about scenes with the girls but on Day 3? No one could accuse NFG for making a slow burn game, that's for sure.

I don't know why but I still think this update will be the same as the previous one... And only 0.8 will have something more.

Yea, I actually just got around to finally playing chapter 6 and I'm kind of disappointed. But honestly all of these VNs have slowed to a crawl in terms of development the past year or two ... or three so I'm at the point where as long as the writing doesn't "betray" me in some awfully canned way I think I'll still follow along. Then again, this is the first one I've played in a couple of months so who knows whether I'll still be playing any of these at all a few years from now ...

But at the end of the day, I'm still interested in all the LIs. It's just you know, there was less of it to go around this time.

Plus, there are only like 3 or 4 (at most) story-driven VNs that are still worthwhile and this is one of them. So yea, it's not like we're swimming in a bountiful sea right now or maybe ever will again. These are hard times and we can't afford to be that picky. So as long as the writing doesn't piss me off then I'm probably good. I'm not even talking about nitpicks or suspensions of disbelief here and there. Just don't do a nose dive with the story/characters. (But if the writing pisses me off, expect the salt to pour out on all the issues.)

My one and only complaint is the fact that we have yet another contrived 'mafia/drug lord' side plot being built up.

It just feels like a pointless waste of time. I don't want intrigue and danger, I just want a fun summer of youthful exploration and partying. The side plot stuff just slows everything down and drags it out... which I think might be why we see them in damn near every VN...

Aside from that, the characters all have interesting personalities and realistic dialogue that you typically don't find in VN's. My two favorite scenes are Sophie in the pool and Mia/Eve on the couch simply because they felt so realistic. I don't need tons of renders and fancy slow zooms when the writing is this good, I just need the story to be complete before the end of the decade or I'll end up writing this off as yet another grift and move on.

Huh. You seem to forget that horror tag tho. I don't know what they are gonna do with it and if it's gonna be actually "good horror" but anyway, i don't think this game is gonna be all pink and happy.

Also the club thing (drugs, corruption, "mafia") isn't a side plot. That's what the game is gonna be about. The summer camp is just a backstory and a setup imo for having a young mc stuck somewhere with hots girls. Sure they feels disconnected for now ( it's just the beginning of the game) but it's probably gonna connect later.

I think any game that has a Helen in it needs to put a horror tag on it.
