Dev Update #237


I'm done posing scene 27. It took me a bit more time than I anticipated but it's done. The renders look good, in my opinion. And I'm usually pretty difficult to satisfy. I'm especially happy with how a few shots came out. Light was very difficult on these, and it came out great.

Next week : Coding and post-processing, maybe even the definitive image integration.

And then, the final run on the music.

I won't add music to the whole game, for now. I'm going to focus on the reworked content and Day 6. I have yet to thoroughly browse that promising licensing platform I talked about a few months ago, but I'm confident it will have what I'm looking for.

I don't do ETA anymore, but I think we can say that a release is coming.



The quick sum up :

• Day 6 Part 4 will contain 2 new scenes: scenes 26 and 27.
• Day 6 Part 4 will contain 2 reworked scenes from Day 2, Scenes 1 and 10.
• Day 2, Scene 1 and 10 have been rewritten, posed and rendered.
• Day 6, Scene 26 has been written, posed and rendered. Scene 27 is written, posed and rendering is almost complete.
• 9549 words of reworked content, and 12723 words of new content so far.
• 2007 lines of code so far.
• 698 shots are planned, 698 are posed, and 681 are rendered.
• I'm working on coding scenes 26 and 27.

I didn't look too hard, maybe the captain said it in discord, but I have the feeling that scene 7 has a lot to do with this, that bad ending could have lit the fuse of some patreon ToS reviewer.

Do you know how this thing works? I mean, if the game has incest i know Patreon will delete it but if the game has porn too? I mean, then all the games around here couldn´t be in Patreon isn´t it?

No. If a VN's discord server has actual porn posted on it, and Patreon find out...you will be nuked until all the porn is removed or you unlink your Discord server as a perk from your Patreon.

WTHI just nuked their Discord server and closed the channel that allowed real porn in it to avoid this scenario as an example.

I don´t use Discord and even when i was a Patreon member of some games i didn´t take advantage of the Discord thing.

Anything involving a real womans tits/pussy/sex/whatever. Patreon don't care about definitions, it's classed as adult..and involves real people...

Then any VN dev who has an 'adult' channel on their Discord, and that discord is linked...are walking a thin line. Just not worth the hassle.

But according to NC on discord, this got taken down for incest content. Since the official version doesn't contain any incest, I'd think they'd reverse their ban eventually.

They have removed Patreon pages with fan made patch or not, I guess it depends on who's reviewing it.

The Patreon page says "removed" though, and not under review, so sounds like it might be gone permanently.

There is a scene as well that could be another reason, but shall see.

I don't even really like this game that much. Patreon just sucks, in general, and I had that opinion of it long before I "discovered" AVN's.

Patreon does suck, but I have a sneaking suspicion that SubscribeStar doesn't drive the level of engagement that Patreon does. I think SubscribeStar is very finicky when it comes to payment methods, about six months ago all my cards stopped working there failing fraud checks. Notice how SubscribeStar only games very rarely appear on this site unless the dev chooses to share an update - I suspect that I'm not the only one with issues making payments there.

Anyway, this sucks whomever reported this to Patreon is a dick.

I think the same about SS, it is very complicated to migrate patreon subscribers to SS, just as an example, from having 277 people in patreon now this game has 43 in SS, something like 8 more in the last two days.
Mr Dots has a good amount in SS (having also patreon) I want to believe that they have done some special work to make that happen.
