I know, bro, I know. I still remember the times when, to Jeff's suggestion that they were a couple, Nami replied: "He brother. I sister." But it's gone as Summer. Now I've stopped preaching that they surely are siblings and I am watching with great interest how the author will get out of this situation, so that he does not violate the P. TOS, and preserve the old relationship between the Cyrus "roommates". (BTW, is Nami even Cyrus?) Heck, even Maya was demoted from Vic's sister to friend, but in a recent update, she was suddenly promoted back to sisters, which created a funny mess in her title across the chapters:

The fact that Maja is Vic's sister again may be bad news for those who wanted a throuple with them. Anyway, my guess is that since MC and Nami are not formally related, there is no more room for the incest tag.

You've been playing the patched version too long. I clearly remember Nami saying "He friend. I friend" Back in the old version

I thought adoption was very formal otherwise Noji was very much fucked by the government!

Nah, just applied this patch once out of curiosity and threw it away. And it's definitely been "He friend. I friend" for some period of time. But still I kept a very old version somewhere (only ch.1 and ch.2) where they were sister and brother (and Noji was mom) right out of the box. Maybe I downloaded the patched version by mistake, I'm not sure.

So can someone explain to me why Mila hates Bella again?

so in the game Mila says that she joined in with the bullies against Bella, but then when Melanie went too far she stepped in. And apparently that's why Bella never forgave her which doesn't make sense? Also, it honestly seems like Mila has way more of an aversion to Bella, more so in the 4.5 update. Bella just makes fun of her being poor (which she does to the mc too so I don't know if there's an unending hatred there) is all.
Doesn't really seem like much reason to hate Bella. Or for Bella to hate Mila for stepping in - it would honestly make more sense to hate her for joining in and bullying Bella before that one time.

Well, I'm no expert on Wollust juvienal laws, but isn't Nojiko supposed to be their guardian or foster mother now, not the adoptive mother?

Mila's reason is pretty clear, she said she took it too personally, that Bella did not accept her apology and that she started picking on her in high school. As for Bella, I can only guess that she was too offended and obsessed with revenge that she did not take Mila's stepping in into account. And there was something else that Mila was going to tell MC, but he interrupted her and said that he would ask Bella himself, maybe in the next chapter we will learn more about this.

Their hate for each other doesn't make much sense to me either to be honest but since these two are one of the very few dual LI paths I'm not convinced they'll hate each other forever. I can fix them, I'm sure.
I was about to write "Women, yeah?" but fortunately, I remembered in time that when I wrote something like this to Quinn about Josy and Maya, I received negative RP from both of them. So yes, it must be one of those mysteries that are about to unfold, as the game description says :KEK:

I'm old, so I go by the original concept, not by this patreon/steam contraceptive way of looking at mutually agreed socialising methods. Noji=mom to boy and girl.
I gather Wollust got invaded by some reactionary bushwhackers that held the government at gun point and changed the laws this summer.

Well, I've been in those "sibling vs. roommate" battles on both sides. I assure you, you'll never change the other side's beliefs :) To save myself from schizophrenia, I decided that I would only trust Ocean and no one else, not even to myself. And take into account that our beloved uncle-daddy Willie Zane hasn't arrived yet from WIAB and ruined the genealogical trees here at all :KEK:

Mila wanted to fit in, so she joined the mean boys and mean girls who bullied Bella. She basically became a bully herself, but there was an incident where the other kids crossed the line, and Mila finally decided to stand up for Bella. Now the rich mean kids hated Mila, and Bella was already bitter for all those times Mila joined them, so she never forgave her.
Mila got bitter as well, since she defended Bella and threw away her chance to be accepted. No only did the bullies now targeted her and Bella refused her apology, but she also now mocked her for being poor all the time.

Mila maybe started to hate her when she felt Bella was being unfair, even though deep inside she feels guilty for having joined the other kids initially.

I said it more than once and I'll say it again: Everyone in Summer's Gone is Willie's child until proven otherwise, period.

This. They were raised together as siblings.

Blood or not blood, doesn't matter.
This argument is one one the most insane things I've heard repeatedly in my life. There is not a single shred of logical thinking behind this. Blood does matter. Whether you're raised together or not doesn't matter at all. One has serious medical/biological implications for offspring. The other has no effect whatsoever on any aspect of your life.

There are no "beliefs" here. There is only the absolute fact that MC and Nami are biological siblings. Period. I would rather they weren't but the simple fact that variations of the question "why is she red?" appear multiple times in the game should make it crystal clear to anyone in doubt. Anything stating otherwise is a workaround for Patreon, SS, PayPal etc...

I assume it's meant in the way that they should be biological siblings but don't look like they are so that very fact is called into question.

I was in this camp too. The fact they are so different...maybe Ocean wants to keep people guessing. Or have enough leeway to switch things around, maybe introduce a twist later on. As I see it the game makes very little sense if they aren't blood related. Plus the bond between Nami and the MC that sustains so much of the narrative is severely weakened if they turned out to not be related in my opinion.

There is a reason you don't see anyone asking MC and Nami "why are you white?" after seeing Nojiko...
