As far as I'm concerned, the LI's can still change in that a girl can become one and one can get demoted from LI status during development? Or did the developer already decide them fully?

It might change but Ocean ain't gonna talk about it anymore :

For now, we just can be certain that all the names mentioned will remains LIs.

LMAO you think i like this game? i played the initial release and my first impression of SG was not that great. that car accident scene and that dumb gun sequence in it was really bad and made me instantly dislike the MC after that my impression of this game never improved. that scene was so bad that Ocean himself deleted that sequence, but first impressions are important. i was only a fan of WIAB but now im starting to think that Ocean will fuck up that game as well.

Seriously thank you very much! I haven't actually played it yet but from a quick perusal it does seems like you've managed to get everything the game needed back in there seamlessly. This release might actually be playable for me now :D

Prior to 4.5 this used to be probably my favorite AVN. It still looks beautiful, but god damn the script/dialogue now is just even more of an inconsistent hot mess.
I really want to love this game, it has some of my favorite LI's of any AVN, but after this 'full' release I can barely give it 3/5 stars and it seems to be getting worse.
Ocean should really work with a writer, SG is starting to suffer more and more without one...

Strange... REALLY strange... considering you've never once posted in the WIAB thread.

Don't get me wrong. You are obviously free to like and dislike whatever you want. I just scratch my head that you choose to celebrate what you hate rather than celebrate what you love on F95.

It won't ruin it, Miru was a horrible and strange character, that's why I threw her in prison to get pregnant and then be abandoned,Now in the remake version I don't see her as before.

I haven't paid much attention to it, it turns out Dani's face is much more wrinkled than Amber's, even though they are the same age.:rolleyes:

I'm more interested in how he'll handle the fact that season 2 won't be on Steam from a PR point of view. Apparently, he got strong sales and very good reviews; this alone is a strong incentive to keep season 2 also on Steam.

Not to mention that people on Steam want to pay once and enjoy the game. That's quite the opposite of a crowdfunding system. That's why I see little overlap between the two markets.

On the other side, if he sticks to the 'soft porn' route for Steam and forces it also on those who are funding him on Patreon, I can see a lot of dissatisfied supporters leaving him, which -again- will be bad for business. The fact that he decided to 'censor' Season 1 seems to already have backfired a lot, at least judging from the reactions here.

Season 2 steam will be 18+, it will not be available on epic and gog.

This is my understanding, from the start, the first season of SG focused on character building and there were no sexual scenes, but it still had a vague 18+ rating.
Problems began to occur in the development of ch 4 and 4.5, some musicians took issue with SG's 18+ status, and did not want their work to be used in 18+ games.
For this reason Ocean adjusted some scenes, by removing some genital renderings (less than 10) etc, to lower the SG rating to 16+, to retain some of the remaining music.
As for the second season SG, it was marketed as 18+ from the start, the same as WiAB.

Here's the i-patch for the current Steam release. Should work fine with the Patreon build as well since they're identical.
The patch is compatible with Steam achievements.

I took the exact same approach as with previous versions of the patch, just unzip the attached and drop the "patchSG.rpy" file into the "game" directory of your SG folder. Don't change the filename!
Upon first launch the game will recreate the compiled "patchSG.rpyc" companion file.

Dialog changes come from the previous patch released for Chapter 5 beta, slightly amended when necessary to fit the updated Season 1 original dialogs. I did fix a few lines (just basic mistypes) from the Season 1 release as well.
But there's more. As you know a lot of further censoring went into the Season 1 release. Ocean cut a few risky renders, toned down some of the dialogue. And while he removed many of the assets cut from the game, a very small number of them were left in. So I've reenabled them with this patch and also restored some of the more spicy dialog (when it made sense, while keeping it balanced).
But please note : this is NOT an "uncensor" mod! The restored shots are part of larger scenes and are just additional shots. They wouldn't change your perception of the scene. It just felt like unnecessary edits on Ocean's part. I've attached a couple of them to this post. There are more drastic cuts which will be addressed with a full "uncensor" mod with i-patch, to be released by myself as well in the next couple of days, once testing is completed.

Tested this patch on a brand new Steam download of the game, on MacOS. Should work fine with Windows/Linux as well. I've tested several paths and did a few saves and loads with no issues. Your previous saves might not work with it though.
Please report if you find issues with it...

My thanks to scrappy for releasing an update of his Walkthrough/cheat mod which inspired me to revisit the patch.

Would appreciate if a mod could update the 1st post with this patch...
