So I was replaying the first Klaus fight and I just want to praise how much foreshadowing is in the game. From the glow of power alongside the Mc's spine, to the various times when Klaus's powers weaken to show his vulnerabilities before they really come into play. Plus all the information from the dead ends that becomes revelant later. It's just nice to look at all the little details and see how they pan out.

I don't think P2 was that bad, at least from a gameplay perspective. As a sequel though, yeah it's pretty fucken bad. The fact that Alex got such a massive downgrade in his abilities and the fact that the combat, while changed, didn't really get better from the first game is really sucky. Not to mention the plot kinda sucks. Still, I'd wish for P3.

Having literally just replayed P1 and 2, I can saw without a shadow of a doubt that BOTH had a terrible plot. The dialogue is bad in both games, and honestly, I prefer overall the first one, from the dynamic military talking to each other more like humans and the ai driving (I know specific, but HIGHLY noticable). The ability to mix match combos and stupid power you could get just for the hell of it, made it a far better game than P2. ESPECIALLY the base system, I miss that. Oh yeah, P1's plot isn't that good. The main pros of the story of P1 imo are that Alex is an interesting character and the world building regarding the virus is pretty good. Other than that, it's pretty forgettable. However, with P2, it's a sequel. It made the mistake of basically shitting on the first game's ending, with the explanations being mainly in comic form (which, while not exactly bad, is kind of a let down considering you can't really experience it in game). While I don't think Heller was bad, what the game did with Mercer is a disappointment tbh.

To everyone complaining about lacking soul is because these commenters are taking less than 3 minutes to throw something into the machine and just downloading the first thing they see.

If WeirdWorld is to do this he can take the time to add all the details he wants into the AI, and doing so at a much greater speed and much more efficiently, the images would look even more intricate and artistic than before.

With inpainting you can iterate on details rapidly and the result is super sexy.

We're not saying it's gonna replace the original art. Since WeirdWorld is doing the art themselves apparently, as a fellow creative person, I can tell you it would be a bitch for them to have to give up after the improvement their art skills got over time. Getting your art to look better doesn't come out of nowhere, it'sl iterally hours and hours or drawing over and over, taking references into consideration, learning new methods, using various tricks (for example for any artist : if you have a hard time drawing, say, a hand in a certain pose for example, use clay of modeling dough to shape it, as reference. It can even allow you to figure out how it looks from a specific angle) and such.
And having worked you ass off just to throw it all away to slap AI art instead would be infuriating for any self respecting artist out there.
So yeah, we're not saying the AI stuff is gonna replace it. Everybody is going crazy over it because it's the brand new thing, like NFT were, and they it's gonna die out when people see limits, like NFT did. We're just exchanging opinions, and right now a few of us agree it looks good, but lacks something.

The AI art 'trend' is one of the funniest things that I have ever seen.
I've seen so many people with art degrees getting pissed that their little piece of paper is slowly becoming even more obsolete than it already was

Anyway it would be great if tools like this could eventually help inspire more developers to make 2dcg games

The game started with Space Prison art. And ended with a solid snake out of 10, for me.

For the bad parts:
-Plot
-Dialogs
-Decisions and Consequences
-MC always says that he should have more sex as a girl, but never does it (perhaps 1 time in the hole game, not counting 3 lame and short self-fuck scenes).

In a close up fight? Jake beats Alice. His mind control is too powerful for her and that's the reason why the MC didn't want her to help.

He was actually able to control Alexis a bit with his mind control and she's lvl 5. Alice wouldn't stand a chance at all, close up, against his Mental attacks. Deryl got lucky because he was a clone and Jake was weakened.

Now Alice might be able to snipe him from a good distance with her destructive AoE attack that she throws. That would probably kill him and even if it missed because of his power interfering, he would still get hit because of how much area that attack damages. Jake's weakness, besides his self esteem, is his body is only slightly better than a normal human.

Quite literally one of the main reasons myself and many others play the game, it actually HAS plot, for a sex game by a new developer, that's pretty much unheard of. There's constant mystery, and you have to replay the game just to not miss out on any hidden lore, which by your assement; you clearly didn't do.

-Dialog:
What do you want? Shakespeare? For the record it's consistent, not like most games on this site that can pretty much be summed up by, "Hey wanna fuck because I got you that gift you always wanted?" BAM sex scene, onto the next girl. P.S, it's dialogue not dialog you illiterate fuck.

-Decisions and Consequences:
Had you played the game for a fraction of a second, it has a lot, and some of them can affect your stats which open up new DIALOGUE options. The game is not done, so we won't be seeing what happens with the major choices just yet, have some patience. (And to be fair, I like that it isn't just linear conversations, you can voice your opinions to make the conversations change, whether it's minor or not)

Probably. Alice lacks experience when it comes to being Superhuman at this point. As for the Deryl comment, the MC also is fairly difficult for Jake... on the logn run. Replay the game from when Jake is set up and an antagonist, and you'll see the MC is getting out of the mind control faster and faster every time (which ties in to my theory that his power concept is all about adaptability). For example, it takes him days the first time, but after the prison talk, it takes the MC maybe two minutes to free himself.

Don't know what you're talking about, the most successful VNs are the 2d ones with long stories that barely have sex. 3d sex romps are looked down upon by everyone and make relatively little money.

There's just a just going to be a big difference in productivity and final quality if you use the most advanced tools or not.

I don't think you understand the point he was trying to make. And while you like the AI art, some people don't. I personally think the AI art has an artificially off look to it and it looks too "clean," if that makes any sense. But that's just my opinion. And in opinions of art, it just comes down to a matter of taste.
