Thats something for a prologue or for a planed second game that continues a story. But after playing this much you dont need it anymore to come back and devour every update with passion. I'd prefer to just start and play on instead of questioning the whole time between the cliffhanger and the next update if one of my favorite devs killed my favorite girl, especially in a case when it was a guy i already wanted to kill since multiple updates...such things make me more hesitant and even angry instead of hyping. The shitshows can start with the new updates, no need to test my impatience in the worst possible way every time

pfff, yeah, ideal world exist in parallel universe somewhere. We all just want to binge excellent media and not have to wait for it to be made or be patched to perfect form *cough* Cyberpunk *cough*. I'm just saying, there are worse ways to end the content updates, WeirdWorld is being smart about it. I bet you wouldn't be so "ravenous" for each update if most only had side content, like after-party talks with psychologist and some introduction events for new characters, but no casino trip at all yet, and you just get "that's all for now". And don't say "there should be completed arcs each update", that would force dev to either release updates way slower(and risk falling into river of oblivion along all the other unfinished projects), or cut tons of content.

Also, wtf, cliffhangers at the game end are fine? There's a difference between teasers and cliffhangers, I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing here anymore. My example of cliffhanger - end of Dead Space 3. We have 0 idea about the characters fates, and if what we did during the whole game made things better, worse, or mattered at all. It was so bad they even had to make epilogue DLC .That's a sequel bait in it's worst form.
And example of a teaser would be Horizon Zero Dawn ending. Character arcs are resolved, new direction for them shown, antagonist painted, and new challenges and questions hinted at.

TLDR: if you hate cliffhangers so much - wait for the game to finish(that's what I generally do for early access games I liked), but your personal preference doesn't make them bad from business/audience interest standpoint.

Or, if he's able able to steal or absorb knowledge through reading other's memories, he was able to get a pretty good grasp on Klaus' powers from Danica in a short time. It would be pretty easy to just sit down with Deryl one day and ask him a bunch of questions regarding relevant topics, but he's you know, unavailable now.

That's a great point about copying memory from Deryl for some serious knowledge, though I'm worried it would make mc's brain come out his ears

You' lose that bet. Most of my most wanted games dont use cliffhangers and "thats all for now" is the common "end" of their updates...still, i cant wait for updates and download/play them as soon as i see them.
I dont know a single one from your "examples" so i dont know what you are talking about.

May i just add that this is a great game so far (i'm planning to become a patreon supporter), it seems strange to say it but this games resembles a shonen manga (what with all the battles and powering up) and it manages to do so in a game that is pretty engaging.

Depends on the update really and how busy my day job is. Usually somewhere between 1 and 2 months.

I'm guessing if there's a continuation of the non ntr route, it'll be us ntring the fat fuck by dominating his secretary.

With the mc's connections with funds is probably a non-issue. So he has no real issue in providing the girls financial support if he wants.

Not only that, but as he says to Jared, he´s practically a ghost. So he can, for example, rob a bank or impersonate rich people while being completely untraceable.

Maybe birth control fucks with her body or her training? Or maybe she hasn't had a chance to get on anything yet? Jess clearly doesn't fuck around much. I was thinking of this. Your character is a shapeshifter that can mimic anyone he absorbs perfectly, why are we not doing anything with it? Can we have a path where we take over the wannabe NTR dude's life, tansfer his money to yourself, bang the secretary, maybe he has a hot wife we can bang too. Alternatively, the MC can simply try to Netori him, take his women and turn him into a cuck through intimidation, blackmail or other methods.

On a related note, the MC can alter stuff now, he can change cards, why are we not going further like altering people. I am thinking of fleshweaving like the vampires can in the necroscope books. Maybe genderbend that jock into a girl while he is asleep and watch the hijinks as "she" freaks out that she is a girl now. There is also that zombie we have in the house, Are we going to do something with her? Kind of feel bad she is just there. Would be nice to do something with her, maybe evolve her into a smarter more evolved monster that can appear human and remembers something of her life so she can pass as human and bring her onto campus.

There is just a little limit...the mc cant be everywhere at the same time (yet)...so taking his place would either ruin the company and destroying the swimming sponsorship or force you to do his work and neglect your own life in the meantime.
The ways out would be absorbing jake and use his advanced mindcontrol to make that fat dude behave or beat him into submission, take everything from him and sponsor the swimmers yourself (would raise suspicions because you poor guy get money out of nowhere) or become his sole heir before his tragic accident

Well, we may have the mafia on our side and can absorb enemies...but sooner or later we will have some corpse lying around to feed the zombie. Also she desperately wants to reproduce, so maybe that house will become our nest, guarded by our spawn and used as proxy...you already have a mental link to her, it could evolve into a hive mind...maybe we can infect her ourself too and make her a shapeshifer with the ability of her goo form...the perfect infiltrator.

I'm guessing the reason aliens infect characters is because of the Alex Mercer surprise ending where it turns out you were the monster, not the person, all along.

However, Alice is most likely a descendant via blood of that butterfly amputee dude because he refers to her as his progeny and brings her back to life.
