Oh, didn't see the questions, sry. Its probably because you lack power. If I remember correctly, you NEED to fight Michael w/Power (you'll get +3: +1 from him and +2 later, right before entering Ella's apartment). After that, you need to train like crazy (i think you'll have 8+ power before Kenny if you do it right), them you can eat Kenny and purify the corruption.So about this, seems like it happened to me as well. If it helps, some tips: Always protect your friends, NEVER put on armor (if MC needed it, he would've already put it), choose the options that benefit you more paying attention to the enemy you're facing (ex., if the enemy is ranged, focus on your close combat; if it has dangerous abilities, be carefull; if you think he alredy has show all, go all out and fuck him up).
Outside of that, just try to pay attention to the information you'll get from the text, a lot of good info comes in hints or just from observation of the scenario.
From them, you just need to choose what you prefer. Also, the game has autosaves before your choices, so you don't need to redo much (it's right before the quicksave). Hope it helps.
Also, most important tip of all: ALWAYS TRAIN. Pick training until it stops appearing to you.
