Well, in this case, it's because of coding difficulties, making the cast size too large and not thinking out the consequences of making like twelve different possible states for every character. Tbh I think if you want to criticize over moving to a new engine you should be complaining about the original decisions that basically mandated the engine switch in the first place.
It's complicated? They "bailed" the first time because RAGS is a terrible system to both use and to develop for, and having to track down real porn images to fit what you want to do can sometimes be more complicated than simply creating them from scratch. So they remade it in 3d Renpy, and made a ton of content for it!
And now they're "bailing" to make a sequel to this incomplete game. Honestly an odd move.

Hmm, haven't been paying too much attention -- Sep maybe? I think Loser was updated in March which means it's up again around July.
I think Loser update is probably late July or early August. Add eight weeks to that and you have SP2.

For this game? None. The developer is no longer working on this one. He is working on a...sequel? Maybe a continuation? He is going to continue the story in a new engine, because Ren'Py wasn't really made for a game as expansive as his vision. But Superpowered 1 is done.

Hey Guys, i have a question, if i want to increase my Logistics pay rank it says "you do no meet the Fame and influence Requirement to raise your pay raiting with the Logistics Division". Thats probably right since i hav already rank 1 in this pay raiting and the Forula in the wiki says its 200*x. So i woud probably need 400 Logistics Infuence, but when i want rank 1 in the School pay the Formula is 100*x so woudnt i need only 100 Infuence then? Because its says there " you are not eligible to increase your pay rank with the school.". Why is that, is there another requirement?

In a way, it might be appropriate to have it tagged with neither since the reason we're still using this thread is that the game has a continuation on another engine.

Nah. SP is dead, one way or another. Whether abandoned or complete is a matter of opinion and the thread owner seems to have picked complete. But it is dead.
There may be a continuation, but it feels, looks, and works differently enough to be its own game set in a similar universe.

When i first started playing Superpowered, I always felt that the games main focus was the school and school had so much content already. You do some missions around the school, fight or help a Supervillian, and graduate from highschool to begin your journey to be a hero or villian. SP2 will begin a year after your graduation so thats why I consider the game to be complete.
