Well, in this case, it's because of coding difficulties, making the cast size too large and not thinking out the consequences of making like twelve different possible states for every character. Tbh I think if you want to criticize over moving to a new engine you should be complaining about the original decisions that basically mandated the engine switch in the first place. It is "completed" in the sense that the developer went "ok I'm done" and just stopped working on it.
Watching people write mediocre dialogue and silly plotlines for thrice-quadrple my monthly wage makes me wonder why they aren't more into it.
It's complicated? They "bailed" the first time because RAGS is a terrible system to both use and to develop for, and having to track down real porn images to fit what you want to do can sometimes be more complicated than simply creating them from scratch. So they remade it in 3d Renpy, and made a ton of content for it!so the author bailed on this game for the second time. lol.
Hmm, haven't been paying too much attention -- Sep maybe? I think Loser was updated in March which means it's up again around July. What is the next update time?
For this game? None. The developer is no longer working on this one. He is working on a...sequel? Maybe a continuation? He is going to continue the story in a new engine, because Ren'Py wasn't really made for a game as expansive as his vision. But Superpowered 1 is done. What is the next update time?
damn so many unfinished stuff to like working mom and some characters no ending tho wich is snasadasd sadFor this game? None. The developer is no longer working on this one. In a way, it might be appropriate to have it tagged with neither since the reason we're still using this thread is that the game has a continuation on another engine.Shouldn't this be tagged as abandoned vs. completed?
Nah. SP is dead, one way or another. Whether abandoned or complete is a matter of opinion and the thread owner seems to have picked complete. But it is dead.In a way, it might be appropriate to have it tagged with neither since the reason we're still using this thread is that the game has a continuation on another engine.
When I started playing it the school was little more than an afterthought to get more characters in the game, then he abandoned it in rags and started ren'py and let people vote to waste all his damned time with "finishing" the school at which point he got bored and started another game, and now he's abandoning the ren'py version and moving on yet again. I look forward to his reasoning for abandoning the next version in 3 years when it's barely functional and restarting again. When i first started playing Superpowered, I always felt that the games main focus was the school and school had so much content already. You do some missions around the school, fight or help a Supervillian, and graduate from highschool to begin your journey to be a hero or villian. SP2 will begin a year after your graduation so thats why I consider the game to be complete.
