Why do these stupid developers continue to use Patreon? Are they living under a rock completely cut off from all information? Literally the entire internet knows by now that if you do anything other than 100% vanilla AVN's on there, they're going to remove you. So they make their game, wait for the inevitable (sometimes weeks, sometimes years), and then they post being absolutely flabbergasted when the inevitable happens - "HUH?! What's happening? I don't understand! How could ANYONE have seen this coming?!!!". Seriously...these guys are hopeless.

Because Patreon makes them literal bucket loads of money, loads and loads.....and more loads.

There is a reason most dev's are not successful when they get booted from Patreon.

Yea, you're probably right. If you are, all that shows is that they have no interest in making or finishing their work - they're not artists - just scammers. They know the rug's going to get pulled out from under them, and their game will never be finished (or if it is, it will be unrecognizable from the vision that was laid out, as more and more gets cut and changed to appease the censors).

So they ride the wave for as long as they can, filling their pockets, and then they've got a convenient excuse to cut and run when the inevitable happens - free and clear. In ye olde days if an artist were to take his patron's money, and never finish his commission, things got ugly for them, fast.

At least this game it happened quickly, before players got invested in the story. It really sucks when it happens a dozen builds in.

Good game. But the paths are kinda meh. Restarting entire game for one path isn't it for this game. Maybe it makes sense if it's only 3 paths for the 3 women in the house and no one else. Don't bring anyone else into it.

That's just not the case, I can point to a million in one games on Patreon that are thriving and have been reported multiple times with certain tags, and got their pages back and game still going....

Better than going to SS and letting the game die....since that is a graveyard for most games/developers.

So yeah, probably best to avoid if not into NTR content, cause based on what the dev likes to make personally, and the post on the currently unavailable itch page. It's gonna have it in some form.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck..... NTR loving devs generally find a way to drop NTR into the game. I downloaded it and then looked through the thread so I just tossed it. No point getting interested in games that might switch later. A "planned tags" would be a good idea to avoid the inevitable discussions. Based on the example of the two ugly men fucking a woman I would think the dev is a bit of a wanker anyway lol.

That's just not the case, I can point to a million in one games on Patreon that are thriving and have been reported multiple times with certain tags, and got their pages back and game still going....

Better than going to SS and letting the game die....since that is a graveyard for most games/developers.

The problem is starting on Patreon. Building your entire community and revenue base on Patreon and then losing it. Start on SS, never touch Patreon and it'll take longer to get off the ground but the chances that you lose literally everything because some pencil neck crowdfunding moderator decided to fuck your entire day up is massively reduced. Patreon has been getting increasingly strict about their moderation, the more time goes on the bigger the risk in using them as a funding tool. Wouldn't even be surprised if they ban all porn funding at some point.
Some devs do really good on SS. We're not allowed to talk about a lot of them here but it does happen. The main thing is that they've either had it as their main platform for a long time or then started there and always built their revenue around it.

I think the dev went with step-cest thinking that it would be okay on patreon, maybe he/she doesn't know that it also goes against TOS. In any case, what the dev says in the About section or other posts catches my attention more than what the step-cest thing does . (And it really makes me question what direction this game is going to take)

0.1 and on-hold, that was quick. Though using stupid stepcrap as a piss-poor substitute for legit incest it's no wonder, all that accomplishes is annoying Patreon and incest fans both.

I've been wishing for exactly that for years now (not long after their first incest crackdown in 2018 or so). Maybe devs will quit using them when they are mostly forced to (seriously, how many people give $ to an AVN with a no sexual content tag?). They should all go to SS anyway where they can make whatever they want, including stuff illegal in some prude countries if they want to.

Erm... so why is this game popping up in F95 as recently updated? Seems like this has been abandoned / on hold for quite a while already and nothing has changed?

Also it seems like even the 2nd game Euranasia has been labeled as abandoned

the ones on SS mostly do ok no Patreon nor F95 even needed, if they are wiling to make a decent AVN that only contains optional content Patreon specifically bans (mostly og lolis, some incest, scat, bestiality, rape, etc). Some devs I'm subbed to that only do loli/incest AVNs and are also Renpy/Daz and also good enough to be banned here as well clear $100k a year easy and some even 3-4x that. No risk, no reward.

eh I prefer Daz myself, with VAM after that (for best animations). HS usually isn't my thing.

Even adding the tag to say it's On Hold counts as an update. Did you read the first page at all before commenting?

I think games on SS can survive if they cater to a niche fetish market. A borderline halfway house in fetish like Sweet Family is probably better off making some changes to stay on Patreon.

It sux, but Patreon does have the advantage for bein a near monopoly in this space.

Could be HS2, but also looks like it's had some AI postwork done as well. Some devs are using Stable Diffusion or similar, but with Daz or HS renders used to guide it for consistency (the main problem when using AI for renders in an AVN, otherwise almost as bad as having 20 different porn stars' stock footage playing each character in a real porn AVN).
