If you you're talking about Fujino, some of the criticism is deserved and most of the time self inflicted in his case.
Fujino is good when we're talking about animation but his storytelling skills are passable and because of that most of his fan base could care less about the plot which is confuse and full of holes most of the time.
This is a game with problems, storyline confuse, plot holes, pacing and bugs.
But still very enjoyable and if wasn't for the "beggars" this game wouldn't be so popular.

If we recall the events of the first part, Kirito's suspicion was somehow half-blind. He was constantly suspicious when Asuna communicated with Inoda, but at the same time he could not recognize the girl with whom he had been together for 4 years in the photo. Breast shape, hair color, moles. Yes, there is a photo where Asuna only has her eyes covered with a mosaic. In the first part, Kirito's stupidity was very selective.
In the second part, there is even a suspicion scale, but these suspicions are erased every time after the memory room. Someone from above wrote a theory that the administrator erases his memory every few days. So Kirito's stupidity is justified by the fact that he simply does not have time to develop his suspicions and forgets everything. Remember the last update, after the brothel, the suspicion scale can be increased to 100 points, but Liz literally stops Kirito from detecting Asuna and Inoda, and Kirito eventually goes to bed and forgets everything again.

I can agree with the fact his memory get erased each time he goes to sleep, but that doesn't take away when you visit ya gf and she only opens the door sticking her head just in the opening and see her head constant rocking like something pushing or pumping against her, you can wire that to she is acting out of normal behaviour, I would then just push open the door and catch them both. Another such moment is where Asuna sees his look alike having sex with a blond girl, first of all it ingame, ingame most people strive to look like someone else, either more beautiful, or other sex, or humanoid cute or even like their idols, so it not abnormal to find someone look alike, but to right away link it to he is cheating on me is silly, any normal girl would just busted into the room and start yelling at them, throwing items at them, to then find out it wasn't him but a look alike. Another thing that would make this vn more desirable is the more Asuna mess around with Inoda, the more she start neglecting her looks, like becoming more the same as Inoda, that basicly what always happen when beautiful people spend with ugly people, they become the same in looks. Like they say that dog looks like his boss or when a you sleep with a stray dog, you become a stray dog.

I mean, that's pretty much what's considered NTR logic. But I like your idea about the FMC neglecting herself and becoming more like the bull; that would indeed be an interesting concept. But again, by NTR logic, the FMC usually starts dressing like the cheapest whore at some point. Somehow, the bulls always seem to like that, for whatever reason someone would prefer that over some stylish clothes.

Press "T" and then "Notes" to check Asuna's location. You can see all Inoda's interactions with Asuna in the Recollection Room when you reach there.

You need to visit the shrine to see Asuna stats, recollection room will unlock later, just follow the story.

Everything indicates that it is IRL, because in the report it was 1 Cg for Asuna's fog event on Tuesday, and a long event for Asuna on Wednesday.
Even though the CG mentions FOG, Fujino has a trend of not really pointing out if it's FOG or IRL for Asuna majority of the time. So the long event is up in the air on where it is exactly. My personal guess is that if it's a long event, is that it's in FOG only because I don't expect Inoda and Asuna to have IRL sex in this next update.
