Yeah but it's kinda in a good way? Not only is it a bit more reasonably justified than normal, he's also really edgy even in-universe and it shows. So rather than being irritating it kinda just feels like how this Deku is.
He also gets a bit less edgy as time goes on, or at least that's how it felt to me.

As for Deku's edgy character, you're right. This is our idea of the character, and, as you have noticed, the further we go, the more we see changes in his character. This was done on purpose.

Although he won't be fully non-edgy until he's cracking jokes about how edgy he is. :V

Ya see, edge in media is alot like an edge in real life:
With a steady hand and skill full application, you can create works of wonder that will be remembered long after. (Berserk, for example)
If you just swing the edge around all willy-nilly, not only are you going to hurt yourself, you are just going to make a mess. (mid 2010s CreepyPastas)

I like both types of Edge, Berserk like and Shadow the Hedghog like, they just achieve different things in the end. I also don't mind Deku's personality here, but I'm curious on how the Devs will handle the story, it seems to be using events of the anime but also skipping others, so I guess we will mainly focus on original storys instead of keeping with the chronological order, the U.A Attack or Sport Festival. But I do think we will at some point meet the Big three cause of Nejire and by logic OFA Mirio.

Shadow the Hedgehog is good edge though, like Berserk. Just turned to comedy instead of used for drama.

Both kinds work, but you need to know what you're applying and why, and what purpose it serves in the story. If you don't, you wind up with My Immortal, or like Rusty said, mid 2010's creepypastas.

You just said exactly what I said, I like both Berserk and Shadow because they are both good types of Edge that serves different purposes.

Guys, regarding the topic of Deku's edginess in the game in general. Since we are currently working on a surprise update (for some players) that is directly related to the game's story and re-reading of the text, I would like to clarify some things for you.

When we first started developing the game, we had a very poor understanding of English. At that time, even listening to it was difficult for us, let alone writing anything. So for a long time, we hired a translator we knew (not a professional), a student like us. We trusted him completely with the text and didn't even check his translation, and it would have been really hard for us to do so.

But now the situation is completely different: we have improved our knowledge many times over (we can watch YouTube and play games with certainty, but we still have no practice in conversation), we have no problem doing this work ourselves with the help of a translator, we no longer needed his services.

And we faced a little shock when we re-read the story in Ukrainian and then in English. Because in some places the meaning of the phrases was radically changed. It literally changed the tone of some moments in the game. And this also applied most of all to Deku himself. No doubt, from the very beginning we intended to make him more harsh, but in the English version, at some points, he was literally made into a hysterical person.

These moments will be corrected and adjusted in accordance with the original source. We can't promise that we will correct everything, but we are trying. It would also be nice to have the English level assessed in the upcoming 0.05 update so that we know for sure if we are doing a good job (first update without a human translator).

So, we will be waiting for your feedback on this :D. Thank you all for your attention!!!

Dope, I don't personally like that much gameplay in my porn games but I'm just one dude, ultimately go with what the people who give you money want.
Thanks for your understanding. We will really try to find some solution to keep the balance. But for now, it's just not the biggest problem in the project that needs to be solved at the moment.

Sorry for the late reply. Update 0.05 will focus on a large part of the story and a revised combat system that will become a full-fledged part of the game. This will be the beginning of the work on in-game training and leveling. We plan to finish with the game's core mechanics by the end of this year, so that everyone can finally see the full concept of the game.
